We've talked about Unicorn Empire and how awesome their stuff is. Now let's talk about why it may be relevant to you.
Here is the design I commissioned from Amber for Sparrow Hill Road. A very limited number of shirts were printed, for conventions I was attending. Some people have asked me what they'd have to do to get one. I've spoken to Amber about whether she'd be willing to do a small run, and she's agreed, as long as there's enough interest.
So this is me, checking interest. Note that if we were to move forward with this, all ordering and fulfillment would be done by Unicorn Empire; no waiting for me to go to the post office or fear of cats in boxes. I would also not be the one handling the money. It will go through her store, as with a normal order. This makes me very happy.
And now...the poll. If your answers are conditional, "IE, I will only order if it's not pink" or whatever, please indicate in the comments.

Apparently, I have too much free time on my hands, because I'm thinking of doing another run of Wicked Girls shirts. The last run was two years ago, and it seems like it's time. My shirt company is still in business, and while their rates have gone up slightly, they haven't gone up so much as to make things impractical. So! I have two questions.
First question, is there interest?
Second question...how do we handle international orders? I don't want to say "sorry, US and Canada only," but at the same time, recent increases in postage fees mean that shipping to anywhere else is going to be disgusting. Like, "at least ten dollars for a shirt, and fifteen for two" levels of disgusting (and even then, I'm averaging things out and will be eating some of the cost). There's not much margin on these shirts: because of the way we do them, I basically make cost + shipping materials + pizza party for the people who pack the shirts to ship. That means I can't afford to ship unless I charge what it actually costs. But I also cringe at the idea of charging what it actually costs. Fun for the whole family!
As with the last run, there will be a small surcharge for sizes 3xl and up, both because I pay more for the shirts themselves, and because they cost more to ship. I'll keep it as low as I can, again, if we do this.
So.
Do we do this?

The Newsflesh universe is a pretty big place. If I continue writing novellas set there, who would you like to see take the starring role? NOTE: Shaun and Georgia are not eligible. Writing them in will just annoy me, and actually make it less likely that I'll ever write about them again. They're having their vacation. Leave them alone. But there are a lot of other options.
Game on!

I have two short stories in the works, one Velveteen-universe, one InCryptid (set after "One Hell of a Ride"). So which one should I finish first?
Both will eventually be made available for free. I just need to get one of them wrapped up.
Which do I finish first?
"Velveteen vs. The Uncomfortable Conversation."

"No Place Like Home."

The Hugo voting packet is being assembled, and they want items from the Campbell nominees to allow voters to make a more informed choice. Since I want the tiara, I naturally want to put my best foot (and chainsaw) forward. We're submitting the first four chapters of Rosemary and Rue—what else should go in?
My bibliography is here, and up to date. It contains everything but the "Velveteen vs." series, which is archived elsewhere.
So...suggest. What should I send in? Justify your choices.

So we've been working for a while now -- and by 'we,' I mean
taraoshea and
porpentine -- at giving my website a total overhaul. Because of the way my brain works (which is not like your Earth brains), this means Tara designs the new graphics and layout, Chris implements them, and then I start doing the new site text, because I can't 'see' where the new text should go until I have the old text in place on the shiny new layout. So poor Chris is going to do a huge amount of heavy lifting and then immediately get hammered with textual updates. Feel for him.
In an effort to keep him from killing me, I figure I should start prepping some of the text now, while I still have a little wiggle room. So I present to you...
What goes into my FAQ?
Obviously, there needs to be a section on filk, as well as the absolutely required section on writing. What do you want to see there? What makes sense? What have you always wanted to know, but been afraid to ask? What have you put into your own FAQs?
Help me keep Chris from killing me.

By now, many of you will have had a chance to go browse around my website (www.seananmcguire.com), and may have noticed that it's currently oriented fairly heavily towards my musical activities. All the current content is going to remain online -- you'll still be able to access the songbook, view details on my CDs, and more -- but we're in the middle of a major reworking of the entire site. Expect exciting developments...and that's where this post comes in.
What would you like to see on my website? Be aware that some things either can't or won't be done; I can't offer entire albums for download (I don't have the bandwidth and would really like to sell the physical CDs before the cat uses them to kill me in the night), I won't start doing daily photo docudramas about my cat, but still, there are options. Are you looking for wallpaper? Forums? A more detailed schedule page? Bios? Let me know! Since there's no commitment involved in having an opinion, this is your chance to pie-inna-sky me without fear of anything more than being looked at funny.
Technology is awesome.
