Well, I'm in Seattle, I have my new kitten, and I have my camera. This means that I have a moral obligation to provide a cat photo post, as failure to do so may get me smacked by a variety of people. Since most of you have never "met" Alice before, I'm starting with my earliest photos of her, and moving on from there. Also, as a special treat for all you dog fans (and Jim Hines fans, and fans of my mother), I'm including the first-ever posted pictures of Smudge.
Oh good god, so beautiful! Alice is without a doubt adooorable, and I'm so jealous of you getting to take her home, but Jane! Jane's colour and markings are gorgeous! I wish I had a few hundred dollars to spare and room for another kitty.
Also, serious puppy is serious. And I want to poke him on the nose and scritch him on the belly. <3
Serious puppy really was taken away from her mother too early. But fortunately, my mother is providing her with all the love, care, and high-protein formula she needs to reach her full potential.
Awwwwwwwwwww. Almost makes me willing to think about having live furbabies rather than stuffed. Almost. (Love other folks furbabies, but have highly allergic to fur family members whom I love dearly.)
...I begin to doubt my assertion that Ray has no Maine Coon in him, because that face shape....
That aside, your kitty is SO GORGEOUS. I want. Since I'm pretty sure you don't intend to give her up, I shall have to want to meet and pet some day instead. She is so, so cute.
(So is Smudge, but over here, I be a cat person, so...kitty!)
ZOHMIGOD, those cats are so beautiful. As I'm sure you know, my father has a Maine Coon, Tucker, and I adore him, and because of him, all the other cats in the world seem not fluffy enough for me, or big enough. Because while she may be tiny now, she'll be huge later. Trust me. I need to get a hold of Betsy, I think, because when I get back from my Disney thing, I'm moving out of my house and whether that means moving in with the boyfriend or somewhere myself, I will absolutely NEED one of those.
Kewt overload! Srsly. ESpecially the two of them together...
The only Maine Coon I have actually met was also blue tabby. And small, I think she weighed about 5 pounds, but with a quantity of fluff suitable for a cat three times her weight.
I am not really a cat person (ok, there may be a cat person inside of me - I did find the pictures adorable!), but I thought Smudge looked so cute! Do they play together?
Pet Alice for me, snuggle Smudge, and tell your Mom I said "hi" (and that I still thank her for giving me a "dog fix" in the midst of my California trip last year).
We have friends who had a Maine Coon. As a kitten, he looked like a squirrel because his long body fur took a while to come in, but his tail was all Maine Coon.

It is SO true about the MCs. They are masters of the floof. I should really take more pictures of the little girl and show off.
(Big kitty pics are available here: Ichigo to the left, Kisuke to the right. Ichi floof! Kisuke is the original longcat.)

She can probably recommend a more-local-to-you source for Maine Coons - they're all over the place ;)

The kitten pictures overwhelmed me with awesome, and then you added a puppy that is a blending of two of my favorite breeds. *ESPLODE OF CUTE*
Also, your mom has tattoos, which make her WIN EVEN MORE.
