Moments in becoming a real girl.

Last night, as I was preparing for bed after a busy evening of edits, website updates, art cards, and catching up on Bones, Chris pinged me.

Chris: "Did you see that the cover for Rosemary and Rue is on Amazon?"
Me: "WHAT?!"
Chris: "Guess not."

(I paraphrase because not even I can quote all the time, but I checked with Chris, and he says this is a fair reflection of our conversation. Which was maybe a little less coherent on my side. Because sometimes, I am a non-linear blonde.)

Because I really like to see things for myself, I went hieing over to the Amazon page for Rosemary and Rue, and lo and behold, my cover is, in fact, there. Right there. On the page. Where people who have absolutely never heard of me before -- people who didn't get there through this journal, or through my website, or through anything but random clicking -- can see it. On the page.

I sure am crying a lot this year. Also, PS?

I'm a real girl.

Exactly so.

And some people have already pre-ordered it on Amazon -- they've generated a 3-"page" list of "Customers who bought this item have also bought..." for it.
I know! Some of the titles are like 'uh,' but dude.

Still debating the ordering through Amazon versus going to an actual bookstore and getting it sooner.

Me too. I think that if we go to brick&mortar stores, it will increase how many places carry the book, though.

I'm a big, big fan of supporting your local bookstore. If your local bookstore is a Borders or Barnes & Noble, remember that you'll also be able to order through their systems very soon.

I'll take your word for it on the Katamari Damacy.

Some of them are, I'll agree.

I am loving it. I just wish they'd settle on one interchangeable intern. I'm adoring them all, and that's a problem.
Eeeee!! And people who bought your book also bought Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Graveyard Book, and Katamari Damacy. Awesome.

I am not pre-ordering because I plan to support a local bookstore, which is what you would want! I will pay in cash and everything. Or at least debit card.
My hero.
Also on amazon.co.uk with the cover art (looks the same to me, they don't seem to have changed it for the UK market) and your name at the top. No list of other books with it yet, though, but give it time...
No new cover because it's not actually a UK edition; it's an imported US edition. There will likely be new cover art if/when we actually get an official UK market release.
I feel the need to point out, with a great deal of pleasure, that it's also on Amazon UK, from where I've put it onto my wish list as a reminder to be included when next I order, which won't be that long. :)

Win!
I am squeeing with you. :)
And this makes me very happy.
I find the section for "people who bought this also bought" exceedingly telling. You're with some very good company.
I am!
Woohoo! I've pre-ordered from Canada. :) Love Tanya's comment on the cover!
Yay! Thank you for buying my book. :)
