Remember that Amazon link we've been waiting for?

So I'm still waking up, still shell-shocked from yesterday, when I get a message from a friend of mine going 'hey, guess what I found?' So I go and look at what he found.

And then, because I'm crying really easily today, I start to cry. Why?

Because of this. Click here to see the Rosemary and Rue page on Amazon.com. With the September 1st, 2009 release date and everything. Really posted, for really real and very true.

Holy cats.

4:00 [skiving at work, checking LJ on phone]: eee! the book!
5:30 [home, surfing net]: ok, I can preorder, that would be good and send good messages to the publishers and all, yepyep...
5:32: why is the amount I need to add for supersaver in dollars? oh, wait. this is .com
5:53: no matches? did I spell wrong? :(

...it is going to be carried on .co.uk, isn't it? *hopehope*
I've been vaguely worried about this. If it isn't, we can probably set up some sort of group order? That is, if I'm right in thinking that one large box to the UK, and then internal postage, is cheaper than multiple import orders?
Alarming thought, isn't it... But yes, I suppose we can probably sort something out, or bribe a bookstore-owner to do so...
I believe that since bookstore owners get a lower cover cost, their VAT is probably also lower. Just a thought.
Amazon.co.uk do have a support email address, I'm going to give it a while to see if they list it (it often takes a few weeks for them to get the databases updated) and then give them a nudge. It would be good if several of us do that, to show interest.

But often it's actually cheaper, although slower, to get books from amazon.com sent over here than it is to get them from amazon.co.uk. Possibly not at the current exchange rate, but who knows how that wil change by September?
I don't know if the US edition will be on .co.uk. I do know that the lovely folks at DAW are looking for International publishers -- last I heard, we were asking about in Germany, and I don't know what the status is with any of that.

Hopefully, we'll be able to get the trifecta of US/UK/Canada publication, since those all tend to be slightly different edition styles. (Also because Canadian editions seem to hit Australia slightly faster, I DO NOT KNOW WHY.)
