The promised art cards!

Since I taunted everybody with the idea of art cards earlier today, here; have a scan of the first six. (This is the smaller version, since nobody loves a graphic the size of Kansas. If you click on it, you'll go to the fully-sized graphic. It's not massive, but it's not tiny, either. Because, y'know, that's a really exacting set of measurements.)

From top to bottom, left to right, you have my first Ravens in the Library art card, my first Grants Pass art card, a random drawing of my pretty little dead girl, my first Velveteen vs. art card, my second Ravens in the Library art card, and my first Rosemary and Rue art card.

I have no real idea yet what I'm planning to do with these, other than, well, apparently 'draw a lot.' I've got another Velveteen card to ink and color, another Toby card, another Grants Pass card, and two Discount Armageddon cards. Three, technically, if you want to count portraits of Antimony as a part of Verity's book.

Because all those buckets of spare time had to go somewhere...

As a part of the "Fund Seanan's awesomeness" plan, take the dozen art cards, turn them into greeting cards and sell them for like $15 a pop.

I'd buy.

Then agin, it's not like you need ANOTHER project.

Total love for the Vel/Sparky card.
They're too tiny to make good greeting cards, I think -- they're only 2'5"x3'5". I think some of them are going to wind up being book giveaways, while others may well get sold.

I've got one of Action Dude/The Claw that I'm going to ink tomorrow. Because the boys need love, too.

You drew Toby! I am happy.
The text is a little easier to read on the actual card.
Eee pretty!
Glee!
Heee! These are awesome. Toby looks so snarly. Poor Toby.
Toby is good at being snarly. It's sort of a calling for her.
2.5" x 3.5"? That's about Magic-card size, right?
Yeah, roughly.

One original to Interfilk, perhaps? I would bet that the Grant's Pass card (because it's funny) and/or the Velveteen card (because lots of people have been reading the stories) would spark the liveliest bidding.
Honey, I think if I donate anything else to the Conflikt Interfilk auction, y'all will lynch me. Trust me on this one.

Absolutely adoring your first Ravens in the Library art card. =)
Aww, thank you!
I agree with k_crow. My first response at seeing the first Ravens in the Library card was WANT WANT WANT!!! Prints please?
They're waaaaaaay too small for prints, unfortunately, but I may well throw the Ravens cards at the ongoing auctions, or make them a 'send me a picture of you with the book, and we'll have a drawing' thing.
Bookplates?? Love them thank you for sharing.
Now that's an idea

Why does the dead girl not merit a signature?
Because I didn't realize I hadn't signed the card until the scan was done, and I was absolutely not going to scan again -- wrangling those things on the scanner wasn't a cakewalk. I've signed her now.
Very cool!
Can't wait for the Verity ones!
Easily amused cat is killing time again. With a hammer.
*Squee* at the Velveteen and Sparkle Bright one!
Awww, thanks.
These are way cool! Thanks for sharing. :)
You're welcome!
How weird... I always think of Velveteen as African-American. (I'm not questioning your portrayal, that would be silly, I just wonder if I misread it or it's ambiguous or what.)
I think it's pretty ambiguous, given that there's never really been a description of her, beyond them putting her hair in ringlets during 'Velveteen vs. the Holiday Special.' Also, Velma (<lj user=roadnotes) is African-American, and appears in most of her own user icons. So there may be appearance conflation based on name + lack of description. Vel's mother was Caucasian and her father was Hispanic (hence the name). In my head, she looks a lot like a taller version of my baby sister.

I guess I'm not into the storylines enough to get it: Why does the triumphant babe in the top right one look and crow and think so much like a cadhla?
Because it's a joke, mostly. :)
I love the "Death" one :D
Thank you!
Backs of name-and-address cards?

Stickers/fridge magnets?

Mailing address label widgets?

Prototypes for LJ icons? (Stuff like the word balloon of "paper, plastic, or pain?", shot of face, shot of "world's worst checkout girl," title of book and "Available in..." *grin*)

Rewards for pre-ordering really, really early for your next album? (If so, I'd like to pre-order Seanan's Next Album, please! O:D
All good ideas! Although the Toby icons -- which are being made even now -- are going to be a bit more serious, and a lot more awesome.

Oh I *love* these. What a cool idea!
I have your blanks. I will even be good, and not use your blanks. See how I love you?
