In the end, we always return to the sea.

Finally, I am at liberty to reveal a secret I have been keeping and gnawing on for far too long (and which was, in its own way, the reason the current projects posts had to be put on unannounced hiatus):

The Atargatis was lost with all hands. It's time to go back out to sea.

Into the Drowning Deep is a full-length follow-up to my novella, "Rolling in the Deep." Set seven years later, it follows the crew of the Melusine as they set out to discover, once and for all, what really happened when the sea was filled with light and the wind offered no safety.

I am so excited.

I am excited for a lot of reasons. Mermaids; science; murder. The best things in life.

Into the Drowning Deep will be released in November 2017, and can be pre-ordered now from a major retailer or independent bookseller near you.

Damn it, I'm trying to cut down on the number of books I buy. But I loved Rolling in the Deep so much!!!!!
Awesome news also just finished Magic for Nothing and it was great
Will we have to have read "Rolling In The Deep" to understand this one? Or is it stand-alone enough to get by? (Obviously, I'd rather have read "Rolling" than not, but I haven't and may not get the chance before this comes out (I prefer hard copy to e-copy and there usually isn't a hardcopy of novellas (at least, I haven't seen a hard copy of "Rolling" yet)))

Ooh! So exciting! "Rolling In the Deep" was amazing. (And I might add that I read it while I was on a cruise, in the middle of the ocean.... Talk about ambiance!) Now you have me eager to see what happens next!
Once again, I shall be rooting for the mermaids and murder.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ONE!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Loved ROLLING IN THE DEEP; super excited for this! =D

SQUEE!

Now excuse me, I must immediately inform the mermaid fan I know in the Coast Guard...
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee! So excited!
This, Mira!Seanan, this is the one of your books that is going to give me nightmares. 'Rolling in the Deep' gave me the absolute wiggins. I am reasonably sure I'll have to read Into the Drowning Deep at high noon, outdoors, ideally in a desert, and even then I'll be afraid to go to sleep that night, because I'm already dreading the things I will see when I close my eyes.

It's gonna be awesome.
