Thomas is home: have a story.

To thank you all for your help and forbearance during Thomas's entry, it's time for some free fiction, and for checking in on Verity and Dominic as they continue their trip from New York to Oregon, with plenty of stops along the way. They've finally reached Oregon...which means it's time to deal with the parents.

This concludes the Verity and Dominic road trip cycle, and I am absolutely thrilled to have made it all the way across the country. I hope you've enjoyed the trip as much as I have.

You can download the new story now from the InCryptid short fiction page. Please download and save to read locally, rather than trying to read on my poor server.

This also serves as your discussion post.

Yay!

But I do have a small request...

As the page goes longer and you add more stories, would it be possible to put an posted date in the description? Sometimes I lose track of what stories I have and have not and it will help keep track and avoid extra downloads from the server?

Not...really? It would break up the flow of the page, but more importantly, I've found that when I include dates, people assume that matters more than the chronological flow of things. I try very hard to go chronologically, but it doesn't always work out that way.
Glad for you and Thomas! Take care!
That was super sweet. :) and yay Thomas!
Oh thank GOODNESS Thomas is home. I hope his recovery is swift and certain and he doesn't go terrorizing you like this again!
So I was thinking it had been too long since I enjoyed these characters so I decided to catch up on the shorts I'd missed. I'd only read the first two....

It's been ten hours. I finish the novels in five hours. I've only gotten through to Antimony's short that's available for free.

And for some reason I read it all in a very uncomfortable chair. Why did I spend all this time in an uncomfortable chair?
Gah. Now I am reminded that I have to go and re-download all of the InCryptid stuff now that I finally have a computer of my own again. (Almost all of my data was recovered intact. My downloaded books were the only real casualty aside from my links, which included a particular recipe I have been unable to relocate, darnit.)
Yay! Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that Thomas is feeling better. I have three cats, and they are my babies. The oldest, Annabel, has a number of health problems, so trips to the emergency vet and hospital stays are, unfortunately, not uncommon for us. She's a bundle of preexisting conditions at this point, so it's not even worth it to get pet insurance for her. But yeah, it's always such a horrible, powerless feeling when they're sick.
