Are we using the relative or absolute scale for 'good'? Given the way the world around us appears to be going, relatively I am fabulously good. On an absolute scale, okay but nothing to get smug about. As to why the RNG should favor me - well, chance favors a prepared mind, and there are occasions in which I could be said to have the semblance of preparedness (if you hold your head in just the right way, squint ever so slightly, and the light is just right), so I've got that going for me.
