On the thirteenth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a MYSTERY!

Welcome to the last of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. Each giveaway has different rules and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, I am avoiding the post office as much as possible until that other winter holiday is over).

The final giveaway is for a mystery prize. Everybody loves a mystery. This is going to be a random number drawing, because honestly, that is all I am managing to keep up with. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Tell me how good you've been this year, and why the RNG should favor you.
4. That's it.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Tuesday, December 20th.

Game on!

I've been good this year because I joined Patreon for the first time (for seanan!), and the RNG should favor me because dealing with consumerism and people I share DNA with always results in holiday stress/sickness and bah humbuginess. Also, yes, a good mystery/surprise prize is awesome!

1. Comment
2. Not international
3. I've managed to not yell at idiots for them missing obvious things in software testing, I have regularly brushed 2 cats' teeth (see icon, the newest one is in the initial stages of training). The RNG should favor me because I have used the old UC Davis Lava-Lamps RNG as well as the atmospheric noise one so I really appreciate a good RND.
4. Thank you for doing this.

Edited to correct icon, the original one was another pair of cats but they didn't get their teeth brushed ... though they did get some high maintenance food ... venison and green pea due to allergies to chicken in any form from egg to meat to...
I don't know if I've been good, but work has been running me ragged, and I really need a pick me up at this point. Seriously, much as I love my job, I'm about ready for the rubber room at this point.

Canadian and will pay postage

I am domestic.
Goodness level: On a scale of gravel to mountains, I have been a fair sized knoll.
I would hope the RNG would not favor me, because then it would not be a RNG. All hail the RNG.
May the Hogfather have mercy on my soul.

Ooh, a mystery!

I have been very good this year - at least, by my standards. The RNG should favor me because if it doesn't I will find it and reprogram it.

*ahem*

I mean, it should favor me because I am good and kind and deserving.
Domestic here and always willing to kick in for postage.

I feel that I've been moderately good this year:
- I have continued to provide food and shelter for the aged feral tomcats who like to sleep on my woodpile in my back yard.
- I have not (yet) built a doomsday device in my basement.
- I don't know if it is a plus or minus with the RNG gods that I have been trolling scam callers by answering with my best "numbers station" impression using a list of randomly generated numbers printed on a card and kept in my phone case for this purpose.

Erm. I think I've been pretty good this year. I didn't start any wars, destroy any humans, or even cause pain, except once or twice by accident when my daughter slammed into me and we both got goose eggs. I also didn't murder the cat who thinks it's wonderful to wake me up at 4 AM by purring and drooling right next to my face. Not the best way to wake up, let me tell you. Anyway, I'm done rambling and I think I qualify as good this year. Thank you for doing this!
Ooh, a surprise! The RNG should favor me because I have been very good about not burning down the world this year, despite how clearly 2016 has been asking for it. (To quote Joshua, "Remember, Daddy, Happy Scientist, not Mad Scientist!)
I have not been very good this year because I keep venting my frustration with the world to my friends. But I hope the rng will still live me.
Hmmm...I'd say I've been pretty darn good this year. I have spent the last few weeks knitting lots of pink hats for the Million Women March in January. And grumbling as little as possible about the holiday season. I could have been so much worse :) Thanks again for hosting Hogswatch, it's been really fun and introduced me to some new things I didn't know I wanted to read! Hooray!
This is a comment. While my outlook on life is somewhere between international and intergalactic, my mailing address is in the USA. And I've been as good as I needed to be.
A mystery, cool.

I've been fair to partly good, I suppose. Should be better. :(
Whoops, left part out. The RNG should favor me because I'm so random! Of course.
I love a good mystery. Especially if it involves incryptids or changelings... Did I mention I'm in love with Tybalt?

How good have I been? Meh, I'm pretty naughty for a nice guy. Probably because my brain takes EVERYTHING dirty. I've been good enough to earn presents from Santa! :D
I'm been so very, very good this year that I haven't killed anyone and everything I set on fire was already dead. Which, after this year, has been tough.
(still domestic, having not yet been deported)

100% of my coworkers are still alive! Last I heard, 100% of my bone marrow recipients were alive! 100% of my cats are alive (suck it, Schroedinger).

I didn't vote for downward turnip.
The great RNG should favor me because...I've been so good that I bought an impulse present for my favorite author and it finally arrived today. Now I just need to mail it to you. (Plus other non bribery reasons, too.)
I am commenting.

I've been fairly good? not as good as I wish, and I'm working on it. But I have TOTALLY been working on my self esteem, and as a sign of it getting better, I'm going to say I deserve it because I wants it, precious.
And then I'm going to think about whether anyone really DESERVES anything really. And the nature of deserving. and gratitude. And, oh god the ele....

I think you're nifty, Seanan McGuire.
I have been pretty good this year, I think. I've been good to the people I love, I've been pretty good at work even though I'm plunging deep-end first into self-employment, and I've been good to MYSELF this year in some very big ways, which I am much worse at than being good to other people. And I do love a mystery.

Thank you for all the giveaways, and for being amazing always.
Cool!
Not international.
I spent money building a new fence to keep my asshole dogs in rather than spending in on something cool.

I'd love to get a mystery.

I've tried to be very good this year! My big project of the year was giving birth to a baby, so I'm learning a lot about what it means to be human from the ground up.
I love mysteries. Mostly cozy ones, but I'll take a nice hard boiled mystery too if one crops up.

I've been very good this year. I donated plasma all summer long and will be starting it up again this week after a hiatus to move 600 miles from home for true love. By the end of July next year, I'll be living with my boyfriend and his kids and be utterly blissful. I hope that the RNG turns a kind eye towards me because of giving back to my community from my very blood. Oh, and true love. That should always be rewarded. :)
I have been good because....because .... I read all the Mira Grant books? Random things happen to me all the time, so technically it's not random, but an actual RNG WOULD be random, so clearly it should favor me!
Yay, mysterious prize
