Favorite fairy tale....hmmm...honestly, traditional (western) "fairy tales" never resonated as much with me when I was younger as the Lakota stories my mother told. She grew up in South Dakota, and my grandfather actually ended up as a blood brother to a Lakota tribe (I wish I knew more of the details). When I think of the stories I heard as a kid, it was a bizarre mix of Iktomi, Anansi, and Brothers Grimm. I guess it's just one of the joys of being a third culture kid.
