On the sixth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a signed copy of Indexing! Win this awesome tome for yourself, for a friend, or for a local library!

Welcome to the sixth of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. I will be starting a new giveaway every day between now and December 13th. Each giveaway will have different rules and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, I am avoiding the post office as much as possible until that other winter holiday is over).

The sixth giveaway is for a signed copy of Indexing. This is going to be a random number drawing, because as you may have noticed, I am running a bit behind. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Name your favorite fairy tale.
4. That's it.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Tuesday, December 13th.

Game on!

ETA: This drawing is now CLOSED.

Absolutely Snow White. Back when Indexing was a serial, it was SO hard to wait for each of the sections!
I comment! I'm not international, even.
Commenting, still not international.

It's so kind of you to do this.
Hmmm, my favorite fairy tale? Probably Beauty and the Beast if that counts... or the one with the twelve dancing princesses who get to run through the neat forest made of diamond trees. LOL

International, and yes, willing to pay postage.

And as to favorite fairy tale, for some reason I've always loved The Wild Swans.
I have the e-version of this, but I'd love it in print. Favorite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. As always, thanks for doing this, and Happy Hogswatch! May the Hogfather bring you everything you wished for.
My favorite is Beauty and the Beast.
For the sixth day of Hogswatch
I continued rhyme-gimmicking
as I commented for INDEXING!

I am domestic, and my favorite fairy tale is Vasilissa the Brave. If I'm totally honest, at least 25% of that is because of Ivan Biliban's illustrations, which I absolutely adore.

(Hi. I got a degree in Russian 17 years ago, when it was useless.)

GOOD LUCK everybody and MERRY HOGSWATCH!
Can't believe I almost missed this one. Been wanting to get this book since I first heard about it
My favorite fairy tale is probably Alice in Wonderland.
1) Once upon a time, a comment did appear...
2) Domestic
3) I'd have to say one of my favorite fairy tales is probably East of the Sun and West of the Moon.
4) ok!
Favorite fairy tale is a tough one - I love reading them all and have read so many... :)

The first one which came to mind was Cap o'Rushes but then thoughts flittered to Mother Holle, then over to The Nightingale at which point I figured I should post before I end up adding more to the list.

Thank you!!

Game on indeed! Loved Indexing as a serial! PS: Favorite fairy tale: The Little Mermaid.
Hello! My favorite fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast.
I have a hard time picking a favorite fairy tale, but if I absolutely had to I'd say the Snow White and Rose Red stories in their many variations. :)
Not international! And I'm hard put to name a favorite fairy tale...I actually love Indexing for its acknowledgement of Aarne-Thompson that fairy tales can be broken down into components that are recognizable from tale to tale. If I have to say one, I love Donkeyskin.
I must have missed this one. Happy Hogswatch!
The Little Mermaid
1. Hello! This is a comment.

2. I am international (UK); I am willing to pay postage.

3. I have an immensely soft spot for Der Feuervogel (possibly best known in English via Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird? I've never come across an English version of the story, I don't think), but The Twelve Dancing Princesses is I think my actual favourite (once suitably updated...)

4. Thank you so much for running these. <3

1. we're here!
2. domestic.
3. LRRH - my, what big giveaways you have. ;-)
4. It!
It's so hard to pick a favorite fairy tale. I'm fond of selkie stories, and also of Snow White, and werewolf stories, and... it's hard to pick.
Favorite fairy tale? I like the reimagined versions best, but perhaps beauty and the beast.
Hmmm. Naming my favorite fairy tale is really tough. I love The Snow Queen if we are going with Western European fairy tales, though Mother Holle is also wonderful. And I'd be hard pressed to choose from Vasilisa the Wise or The Firebird or The Little Humpbacked Horse from Eastern European/Russian fairy tales. In Japanese fairy tales, it's hands down The Boy/Girl Who Drew Cats, preferably the Eugie Foster version.

I'm still here in the US. 😉
My favorite fairy tale is either Alice in Wonderland, or Peter Pan. If either of those count. :)
