Need a little reminder that Toby is awesome?

Specifically, about seven awesome things about the October Daye series. I think there are many awesome things about the October Daye series, including the way it helps me keep the brain squirrels from eating me alive, but it's always super fun to see what someone else thinks of as the highlights.

Thirding (fourthing? fifthing?) the objection to completely ignoring that one of Toby's chief allies is a cranky super-powerful sea witch masquerading as a nineteen year old with freckles. Who has some kind of brilliant plan of her own going on, and it might not end well for Toby (and I am so okay with that, #TeamLuidaeg5Ever)

Also how fucking awesome it is that Walther exists and gets to have happily ever afters and plots not directly related to his gender. And that Quinten has had a girlfriend and a boyfriend and it's not a big deal either way.

Alsoalso that no one's gonna get raped. That is a good promise. More writers should make that promise, means I'd have more books I feel safe reading.
