ONCE BROKEN FAITH open thread!

To celebrate the release of Once Broken Faith, here. Have an open thread to discuss the book. Judging by the comments I'm seeing, some of you have had time, and I'd really, really rather book discussion (sometimes including spoilers) didn't crop up on other posts.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Seriously. If anyone comments here at all, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. So please don't read and then yell at me because you encountered spoilers. You were warned. (I will not reply to every comment; I call partial comment amnesty. But I may well join some of the discussion, or answer questions or whatnot.) I will be DELETING all comments containing spoilers which have been left on other posts. No one gets to spoil people here without a label.

You can also start a discussion at my website forums, with less need to be concerned that I will see everything you say! In case you wanted, you know, discussion free of authorial influence, since I always wind up getting involved in these things.

Have fun, and try not to bleed on the carpet.

I don't think it was just Maeve on that ride, I believe it was all three and that's when they disappeared.
Y'know, the timeline may fit. When is Tam Lin actually set? I think Luna mentions something about "500 years" since anyone's set foot on Annwn and that she watched Oberon seal the doors.

Wikipedia says, "The ballad dates to at least as early as 1549."

500 years, and yep. We're in the 2000's.
Works for me. That wasn't just a random blood memory from the Luidaeg, it was an important puzzle piece.

Here's a thought: in The Winter Long, the Luidaeg prayed to Maeve for help, and it appeared she answered. What if Oberon, Titania and Maeve were elf shot, and are being kept asleep by regularly adding a booster dose? If that is the case, then suddenly Karen becomes a very major component in finding them. It could also explain Evening's desire to suppress the cure; her wanting to preserve her greatest creation doesn't ring true with me, but if she's keeping the Big Three asleep she certainly wouldn't want a cure.
