But when you are not near, I am filled with a greater fear...

...but I know you're with me, wherever your heart may be.

Inchworm, inchworm, measuring the never-ending parade of ongoing projects, keeping me from losing track of what I'm doing and dissolving into a weeping pile of insecurities and confusion. Hooray! It's been a while since I've done one of these posts, and I really needed one; I don't keep track of things well without them.

Publications

"The Levee Was Dry," September 1, 2016 (Patreon).
Once Broken Faith, September 6, 2016.
Feedback, September 27, 2016.
"The Voice of Lions," October 1, 2016 (Patreon).
"Sleepover," November 1, 2016 (Shadowed Souls).
"Forbidden Texts," November 1, 2016 (What the #@&% Is That?).

"On the Mathematical Inevitability of Corvids," February 7, 2017 (Black Feathers).
Magic For Nothing, March 7, 2017.
"School Colors," March 7 2017 (Little Green Men--Attack!)

Conventions/Appearances/Travel

Once Broken Faith at Borderlands, September 10 2016, Borderlands Books, San Francisco CA.
New York Comic-Con, October 6-10, New York NY.
Shipwreck!: The Princess Bride, October 7, New York NY.
ICON, October 28-30 2016, Cedar Rapids IA.

Worldcon, August 8-13 2017, Helsinki Finland.

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

"Threnody for Little Girl, With Tuna"
"With Graveyard Weeds and Hemlock Seeds"
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
"Maybe It Was the Wind"
"Wrapped Around My Heart, the Vines of Your Regard"
Echo

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

In the case of stories listed with a publication note of "website," these are approximate dates only, and should not be viewed as binding. If the story does not appear on that date, it has been delayed, and will be posted when I can.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

I love you for these upcoming releases lists, but is there any possible way to put the series next to the release? Or do you just like us to be surprised?
Honestly, we've reached the point where if I have to put any more information on a single line entry, I will stop doing these entirely. They're a form of record keeping, mostly for my own benefit, and it's when they become a chore that they stop.

September is always Toby; March is always InCryptid.

So excited for the Once Broken Faith release (and the release party!).

Yay!
The title "On the Mathematical Inevitability of Corvids" made me make delighted seal noises.
Oh, good.
Just FYI, The Paul and Storminomicon ebook was released to the Kickstarter backers last month. I'm not sure about the physical book since that wasn't one of my rewards, but it is out in the world now.
The physical book has not been released and does not have a release date; until it's out, the story effectively has no release date, as no one who didn't catch the Kickstarter has a shot at reading it.
You are so incredibly awesome. Just sayin'. I love these posts for that junkie-hit of the sweet, sweet anticipation of more wonders from your worlds! (And I also use them to make sure the books are on my to-buy list.)
I need to be better about the updates. I get discombobulated without them.
I love seeing all the stuff with "Patreon" in parentheses, because it makes me go, "ooh! I'm going to get *that* one in my in-box!

Also, I'm a teacher, so I don't want the summer to end (I mean, I like my job, but vacation is better), but when I see Toby release dates, it always makes me excited for September. As has pretty much become an annual tradition, I look forward to stopping at Barnes and Noble on the way home from my first day back at work.
Yay!
yay, Worldcon! I am so there *finger pistols*
September used to herald the return to the salt mines (a.k.a. school) but now as an adult, I get to receive the beautiful gift of Toby and I am so very thankful for it. :)
Not at all on topic, but you might like to see baby tarantulas.
