ONCE BROKEN FAITH cover reveal!

Here we go again.

So it's no secret around here that I love, love, love my DAW covers, or that showing them off is one of my true pure joys in life. Chris McGrath, the artist who does the art for the October Daye books, has been with me since book one, and he just keeps on getting better. Want proof?

Go ahead. Take a peek.

Behold the pretty:

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS OH MY GOD IT'S THE COVER TO ONCE BROKEN FAITH AND IT'S GORGEOUS!

One of the nicest things about working with the same cover artist for the duration of a long series is knowing that he'll be able to call back to earlier covers. Toby wears the same clothes more than once! Toby consistently looks like she needs a nap! I am a very, very lucky girl.

Once Broken Faith will be released by DAW Books on September 6th, 2016. I could not be happier right now. What do you think?

(As always, I claim full comment amnesty, although I love it when you comment, because I can show my cover artists and make them happy.)

With regard to the new cover jacket for the upcoming release of book 10 in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire, I give it a "2 thumbs up." The color scheme is much as you would expect for this type of fantasy--with the flickering warmth of twilight delicately displayed--and the character's profile keeps true to her depicted courage, bravery and the seemingly otherworldliness of her features. I have pre-ordered it's Kindle release in hopes of obtaining a copy sooner, despite my old fashioned favoring toward books that I "can hold and feel in my hand."

As per the author and [her] series: I only recently discovered Seanan McGuire and the October Daye series last month, when choosing Rosemary and Rue as part of a promotional "buy 2 get one free" display at Books-a-Million. My initial read began with a bit of struggle to keep up with the various Fae lineage (despite my Irish/Scottish lineage). Admittedly, I started by reading a few pages here and there as time permitted. Yet as I began to delve further into the storyline, I was impressed with the vividity with which the author breathed life into her characters, especially the main character/hero October Daye. I felt so strongly connect to her it was as though her perils were my own. I no sooner finished the first copy, when I was back in the bookstore searching for sequels. I read A Local Habitation within a day and a half and was so compelled by the growing attracting beginning between Tybalt, a pureblood Cait Sidhe and King of the Dreaming Cats, and our hero October that I couldn't wait for the next book in the series, so I immediately ordered An Artificial Night in Kindle version around 2:00am and began reading until 5:00 am before pulling myself away. Each new edition enthralls me that much more. Had the question been posed to me a month ago, "who are your 3 favorite authors," I would have answered something along the lines of "James Patterson, Dean Koontz and J.K. Rowling." Seanan McGuire now ranks my top 3.
