ONCE BROKEN FAITH cover reveal!

Here we go again.

So it's no secret around here that I love, love, love my DAW covers, or that showing them off is one of my true pure joys in life. Chris McGrath, the artist who does the art for the October Daye books, has been with me since book one, and he just keeps on getting better. Want proof?

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS OH MY GOD IT'S THE COVER TO ONCE BROKEN FAITH AND IT'S GORGEOUS!

One of the nicest things about working with the same cover artist for the duration of a long series is knowing that he'll be able to call back to earlier covers. Toby wears the same clothes more than once! Toby consistently looks like she needs a nap! I am a very, very lucky girl.

Once Broken Faith will be released by DAW Books on September 6th, 2016. I could not be happier right now. What do you think?

(As always, I claim full comment amnesty, although I love it when you comment, because I can show my cover artists and make them happy.)

I just screeched so loud that my dog wen't to check the door for intruders!

I have been checking everyday for MONTHS!

It's beautiful!

I'm stoked about the map and Arden novella!

This is the only series that makes me wish away the year because I can't get enough of it!

Thanks Seanan for such an amazing series and Thanks Chris for amazing art!

Gorgeous! I can't wait for the book to be released in September—and it makes me really happy that you've had the same cover artist all the way through, since not only is the art amazing, it soothes a part of me to have all the books in the series "match" in this way.

I know Our Hostess has claimed amnesty on this post, but I have to wonder aloud: Have Toby's ears gotten more prominent since $SPOILER? I have a vague recollection of her mentioning other changes she had noticed, but I don't remember that being one of them.

When a similar question last came up on Twitter, the answer was that it's basically the artist's whim as to how pointy they are on any given cover; the art direction doesn't extend to that degree of fiddlybits.

Dunno if that quite answers your question precisely, but that's Prior Data, anyway.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love all your work, but I found you through Toby so she will always be my bestest love. Waiting for September is going to be agony, but I'll endure.

One question: Do you know if the novella and map will be included in the ebook version?

One of the first things that attracted me to these books was having a realistic looking (okay, with pointy ears, BUT) female protagonist on the cover. No boobs-and-butt pose, no staring with a sexy-come-hither look, and best of all, clothing that an actual person could wear (like, say, NO STILETTO HEELS). And they just keep getting better with every book. Many, many kudos to the cover artist.

So do I these days...of course, having a baby in the house will do that. (And a cat who's going to report me to the local King of Cats sooner or later...)
