It's time for some free fiction, and for checking in on Verity and Dominic as they continue their trip from New York to Oregon, with plenty of stops along the way. They've managed to get out of Buckley Township, Michigan with no casualties, and that means they deserve a break, right? It's time for a vacation.

It's time to visit scenic Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now, most of the time, I sort of throw things out and let y'all do with them as you will, but in this specific case, I ask that you please catch up on any previous road trip stories you may have missed before reading onward in the timeline. Because this is a party you want your invitation to.

There's gonna be cake.

I think Verity getting married in one of her dance dresses is the most perfect thing ever. And I know it may be hopeless for any of the prices, but I really do hope Verity and Dominic get to have a happily ever after. I love them.

Nifty! Although they aren't married yet - given Verity's family history, something is bound to complicate the wedding ceremony :-)

The Elvis impersonater is a bogeyman - or maybe a chupacabra? Dominic, who's faced painful death without flinching any number of times, faints dead away when he says "I do"? They forget to bring back enough wedding cake for all the mice?

Thank you! I really appreciate the commentary about pole-dancing. And I happen to have a fascination with glaives (thank you, Keladry), so that was double-bonus fun.

The only version that seems to download correctly is the PDF. ePub and mobi are both broken. I've tried on 3 different pcs and no workie.

I found that the mobi didn't seem to work on first click (opened as a weird looking thing in my browser), but it worked just fine when I right-clicked it and selected 'save link as...' - I was then able to read it on my kindle no problem.

Just how big a problem for the Prices and Cryptids is the black wildlife market? How big is the Cryptid population in Vegas that it has such a vibrant and suspiciously well-informed underworld? Unless the clerk worked there during the incident with the couple from Des Moines and decided to look into the potential resale value of the mice if the Prices ever came back.
Oh, the poor Aeslin. That possibility is a horror show worse than zombies. Could they decide not to reproduce to spite their captors?

I'm very glad that Mr. Delgado and Ms. Price were able to marry safely. Is he taking her name?

Is anyone else tempted to set up a Pinterest board to put together the dress and necklace Verity is wearing? Just me? Again? Ok.

XD I loved it, every bit of it and I want to punch that desk clerk poacher in the head for what he was doing. D: But Dominic's reaction, the luck-benders (hey~ cryptid luck-benders, too~) Vegas itself and your commentary about the desert...

(I just moved to the desert. I'm still baffled at the environment. I don't know how Fran loved Arizona so much)

Thank you, this one was lovely to read. And I especially liked the description of the thugs' reaction when Verity told them just what family they'd tried to steal the mice from. That was a fun moment.
