Come with me through a door you may never see again.

I am excited and ecstatic and overjoyed to remind you all that I will be appearing at San Francisco's own Booksmith on Monday, April 4th for the launch party of my newest novella, Every Heart a Doorway.

The story of what happens on the other side of the portal fantasy, Every Heart a Doorway follows the students of Eleanor West's Home for Wayward Children as they try to deal with the reality of their pasts, presents, and futures. And a little bit of murder, naturally.

The fun begins at 7:30pm; RSVPs are appreciated but not required. There will be books for sale. Signed, personalized books can also be ordered through the Booksmith website.

It all begins with a doorway...

So excited!
Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow!

Wants it!
I hope you're feeling better, and get to enjoy the event (in the way that they are "enjoyable" for you, even though they can be hard work, too).
I want to apologize in advance for how incoherent this will be, it's currently 2:40am and I just finished One Salt Sea and I wish I didn't have to work in 5hours so I could purchase and read the next one in the series. Any who, I just discovered your novels on Monday and you have me enthralled. This series is so rich in so many ways, from fleshed out characters, incredible mythical beings, detailed descriptions and compelling plots. I was so excited to see how many published October Daye novels I still have left to read, and how many more are to come, so I thought I'd look at your website/blog to find out more. Your cats are beautiful, although they were even more precious as kittens and when I thought you couldn't get any more awesome, I read something about diet dr.pepper and sadly enough, I love dr.pepper about as much as Toby loves coffee.

So basically I had planned on sometime leaving a note of gratitude for sharing your writing with the world, and then the mention of dr.pepper in any form compelled me to do it immediately. I must admit, I had no idea how many series you had going on and I have no idea how you have the time to work on so many things, let alone the creativity and capacity to create all of these wonderful worlds, but I hope you'll continue to do so for as long as possible! I haven't used my lj in quite a few years, and I was always more of a lurker than anything else, but you've given me a reason to occasionally check in again. I wish I could thank you properly, but please just know your novels are being cherished and you're greatly appreciated!

Of course I couldn't login last night, but I'm finally able to login through Google.
I am exceedingly disappointed that for the first time since I started buying your books years and years ago, I cannot buy your book on the release date. I am hoping soon after, but moving in a month... D: I wish you luck at your release party and may you sell millions of copies to feed your kitties.
Yay!
