I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.
So, the rules for this one:
1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.
I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 26th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.
The field guide is here, if you need some help.
Game on!

Chupacabra - because they are excellent dancers, and also, how can "what happens when a Gila monster and a coyote love each other very very much" not be a favorite? :D

I really love the poison dart frickens, like a cross between colorful finches and tiny poison dart frogs, feathery bits of bright, cheerful doom.

May favorite Cryptid keeps changing, but today it is the Aeslin Mice. This is because they don't forget ANYTHING, and I kinda actually want a colony to keep track of THINGS for me. Because I forget EVERYTHING.

Cactus Cats. Because I love the combination of soft looking kitties with sharp spikey bits everywhere. Talk about combining hard and soft.

US address. Thanks!

2. I am in the US
3. I can’t help it but my favorite remain the Aeslin mice! They are so cute and they talk and they have such an awesome religious life and I love how they keep the history of the family. They are just so awesome and real!

and I love the mice, I will scoff at the high odds, because my cat told me to pick the mice, he seems to think you will send us some.

U.S. address here.

2. I live in the USA and have a shippable address therein.
3. Definitely leaning towards the Madhura as my favorite cryptids right now, but it's always a close call. Why? Because it is the season of sweetness and baked goods, that's why! (And I just really like the Madhura characters in the InCryptid books I've managed to read so far.)

Ooh, I was going to say cactus cats, because all cats should be pointy-er. (Ouch!) But I'm going to have to weigh in with the Madhura, because I love BPAL's gingerbread perfume to an entirely inappropriate degree and I think people who smell like gingerbread *all by themselves* would be awesome.

Wow, picking a favorite cryptic is so difficult. I think I'm going to go with the wadjet, because their mating bonds are really interesting because they form when they're still young.

2. Yup, living in the US.
2. The Cuckoos are my favorite, because they are the scariest and frankly have the most entertaining description in the field guide.

Favorite is *really hard*, but I think my favorite of the moment has got to be the sirrush, since I'm really concerned about conservation efforts, especially in light of the unstable political situations in much of their natural habitat. (A member of my department, who happens to live across the street works with native equines in an overlapping region, and, well, good times - also, she has the *best* videos taken on a phone cam from the vantage point of an SUV being attacked by the highly territorial male equines. But I digress.) The sirrush just seems to have gotten the shaft in every religion conflict for the past how many thousands of years? I mean, they're tough, but, seriously.

2. In the US
3. Dragon princesses are my favorite because they're bigger, fuller girls that are beautiful. I love seeing my body type represented and seen as beautiful. It very rarely happens

My favorite cryptid...that's a tough one as there are a lot of cool ones. But I'd have to say the Waheela because they're such an interesting concept that I wish were explored a bit more in the core books. Also, I want a lesser griffin!

3. I'm going to go with the Frickens

I think I'll have to say the firken, just cause I love the idea that they're close to becoming non-cryptids in the series's universe, and I think that's cool
