It's time to hit the floor for one more dance.

It's time for a Chaos Choreography giveaway! Hooray! This giveaway is going to be US addresses only; I'm still mailing Hogswatch prizes and other such items, and my post office workers are starting to mysteriously go on break when I show up, because of all the international packages. I know it's not fair, but I can't add more customs forms to the pile or they're going to close completely.

I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.

So, the rules for this one:

1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.

I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 26th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.

I like the coatl because I love the concept of a winged snake. Especially pretty ones.

my favourite cryptid right now (it changes occasionally) is the screaming yam. i completely agree with the scream and run away lifestyle. plus, everytime i think about them i think about the bunnies in monty python and silently scream RUN AWAY to myself.

I have a US address! Yay!

In the interest of upping my chances, I want to say that my favourite cryptid is something like the swamp bromeliad (which I do think is actually super cool)...

But in the interest of honesty, I have to say that the mice are, and always will be, my absolute favourites. There is nothing in fiction which delights me as much as the mice. This is because they are endlessly amusing, and comic relief is always nice, but also because everything they do is incredibly heartfelt and sincere. Their devotion to their gods and priestesses is really touching, and while I frequently laugh out loud at their amusing bits, their serious moments are the ones that tug on my heartstrings the most. (In The Star of New Mexico it was the mice that brought me to tears more than anything else.)

So yeah... that was longer than I meant it to be. But yeah, the mice are amazing.

Favorite cryptic is hard. I still have to say basilisk. Or maybe church griffin.
Basilisk because they are so not what I thought they were. And church griffin because they are cool.

i am fascinated by the idea of a cat-sized griffin with a pouch. would like to learn more about the Garrinna including care sheets please and thank you. i mean, who WOULDN'T love a griffin with a parrot's face?

it sounds like all the best parts of hell wrapped into one critter, and I WANT ONE.

Hi,

I have U.S. address. My favorite cryptid is the Cuckoo because many reasons. First, I like the scientific name of Johrlac psychidolos, second the idea that they might have evolved from the Apraxis wasp is fascinating, and most of all I love Sarah and would loved to see more of them in the series.

I have a US address. I adore the Aeslin mice (I probably misspelled that, but you know what I mean). I am endlessly amused by their impromptu liturgies and touched by how they are the memory of the Healy line, passing down the stories from one mouse priest to the next. I like how they dub various family members amusing things. - Priestess of Loud Noises and such. I don't think I'd want a whole book about just them, but they certainly add fun to the stories.

This is a comment. It declares that I live in PA, and therefore shipping is no problem. And even though I know it skews the odds against me- I gotta say it. I adore the Aeslin mice. They're my spirit animals.

I am in the US, and my favorite cryptid at this moment is the chupacabra. They are therianthropes, which is awesome, and they are both sapient and have to deal with overwhelming instinct, which is fascinating but must be very difficult to live with.

So looking forward to this. I have a US address, and my favorite cryptid is the cuckoo. Because... actually, as I'm sure you remember, I've already told you a really good reason for preferring cuckoos above all other species, including one's own.
