It's time to hit the floor for one more dance.

It's time for a Chaos Choreography giveaway! Hooray! This giveaway is going to be US addresses only; I'm still mailing Hogswatch prizes and other such items, and my post office workers are starting to mysteriously go on break when I show up, because of all the international packages. I know it's not fair, but I can't add more customs forms to the pile or they're going to close completely.

I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.

So, the rules for this one:

1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.

I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 26th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.

The field guide is here, if you need some help.

Game on!

US address here! Favorite cryptid: church griffins, because our new kitten is probably at least some part maine coon based on looks and size, and I imagine Hank McCoy (the kitten, not the X-Men character) with wings and I go 'oh god, I want to see the chaos so badly....' because he is a very bouncy kitten and him + wings would be hilariously worse XD
Hello U.S. address and hands down my favorite cryptids are the Aeslin Mice. They are hilarious.
I have a U.S address. and love the Tailypo. I just found it in the field guide, and cannot remember reading about it in one of the books, but I fell in love with the description. A tail three times its body length? Any one else imagining Rapunzel in Tangled as a racoon?
I seem to recall that you have at some point made reference to the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus.

Independently of ever hearing about those, last year I started routinely doodling octopi up in trees, so I feel very fondly towards the idea of an official one.

US address, etc.

I'd pick the sphinx. Who hasn't been so frustrated with people not getting what you're trying to say that you want to destroy them on the spot? Also, it's a most excellent Scrabble word. Side thought, would sphinxes play Scrabble?

Do "real-world" cryptids count? I'm not sure I recall them mentioned in the books.

US address unless the wingnuts figure out a way to actually secede.

Oh joy! I am so excited, I love InCryptid. I have a US address, and my favorite cryptids are still cactus cats, because CACTUS CATS, glee!

Hi! I have a US Address. My Favorite cryptids are the Screaming Yams because the idea of yams running away screaming is just hilarious! :)

Criptids :D

1. yay criptids!
2. I have a US address for shipping!
3. My favorite in general is the hodag, because I've always imagined them to be like reptilian dogs. The best of all worlds.

My favorite from your field guide are the poison dart frickins. The pictures really won me over. I know that they would not appreciate be hugged. But I want to hug them. Yes I do.
US address, and my favorite cryptid (this week, anyway) is the Madhura. They make (literally) inhumanly delicious desserts while protecting people against tooth decay!
1. Comment
2. US here.
3. Finfolk! I loooove mermaids. Always have. And I am really intrigued by their life cycle and the misplaced children realizing they aren't human. I look forward to finding out more about them.
US!

Tanuki!!! They're gregarious and playful, except in combat form. :) It's sad that they are endangered, but the could bounce back!

US here!

I really love so many of them. I could choose so many, but given I've been browsing seed catalogs for the spring, it's that rather than your mention that gets the swamp bromeliad for me. I could put it out and it could eat the salesmen and such, and I wouldn't accidentally kill it.

Tailypo! Ever since reading it to a house full as a children's librarian. US, yadda yadda.
I'm in the US and oh this is a hard choice. I think the Screaming Yams, their introduction was one of my favorites and more tubers should have personality.
I am still lurking in America's Wang, and, due to proximity to Weeki Watchee (and enjoying Rolling in the Deep), mermaids are today's frontrunner.
Happy Almost-Birthday!

I'm in southern California. That's still in the US, isn't it?

My favorite incryptid is griffins, because after years of cats who climb everything, a winged cat would be the logical next step. Or flight.
Oooh. I live in the US, and my favorite cryptid is probably the wadjet. Extreme sexual dimorphism AND deadly venom? What's not to love?
I do have a US address. That's tough--it's hard to narrow down my favorite cryptid, but I think I'll go with Caladrius. They have such amazing, useful abilities, and they just want to be left to do their work in peace rather than be hunted to extinction--not too much to ask.
Yep. US Address.

Think I'll go for the cuckoos. Because they've interesting visual systems (and brains).
US address.

Dragons
US address (very close to Buckley!)

My favorites remain the Aeslin mice.
I love church griffins, and since I'm Australian I love the Garrinna even more! I imagine when they hunt they descend in a fury like lorikeets descending upon seed. (Lorikeets are much like Nac Mac Feegles, they will fight any other bird that gets in their way, and themselves if no other target presents itself)

US address available, cos I will be VISITING SOON! :D
ALL Hail the Aeslin Mice,

NO wait the MadhURa definetly the MAdhura it bakes sweets and exempts you from cavities best super powers ever.

Colorado native

Even though there is already one entry, I still am picking the wadjet. (I do like snakes.)
I have a US address.
I love the incryptid stories! I'm going to name the screaming yam as my favorite cryptid (along with the vegetable lamb), because agency, particularly voluble agency, in vegetables should be a higher priority in evolutionary advancement.

I have a U.S. address that you can ship to.
I have a US Address.

So many good choices for favorite cryptid, but since I just finished re-reading the main series, I think I'll have to pick the Yowie. Because Basil is probably my favorite character in Pocket Apocalypse.
