I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.
So, the rules for this one:
1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.
I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 26th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.
The field guide is here, if you need some help.
Game on!

Independently of ever hearing about those, last year I started routinely doodling octopi up in trees, so I feel very fondly towards the idea of an official one.
US address, etc.

Do "real-world" cryptids count? I'm not sure I recall them mentioned in the books.
US address unless the wingnuts figure out a way to actually secede.

1. yay criptids!
2. I have a US address for shipping!
3. My favorite in general is the hodag, because I've always imagined them to be like reptilian dogs. The best of all worlds.
My favorite from your field guide are the poison dart frickins. The pictures really won me over. I know that they would not appreciate be hugged. But I want to hug them. Yes I do.

2. US here.
3. Finfolk! I loooove mermaids. Always have. And I am really intrigued by their life cycle and the misplaced children realizing they aren't human. I look forward to finding out more about them.

Tanuki!!! They're gregarious and playful, except in combat form. :) It's sad that they are endangered, but the could bounce back!

US here!
I really love so many of them. I could choose so many, but given I've been browsing seed catalogs for the spring, it's that rather than your mention that gets the swamp bromeliad for me. I could put it out and it could eat the salesmen and such, and I wouldn't accidentally kill it.

I'm in southern California. That's still in the US, isn't it?
My favorite incryptid is griffins, because after years of cats who climb everything, a winged cat would be the logical next step. Or flight.

So many good choices for favorite cryptid, but since I just finished re-reading the main series, I think I'll have to pick the Yowie. Because Basil is probably my favorite character in Pocket Apocalypse.
