Sure, that kindness often came with hidden razor blades tucked inside, but at least it was there.

A very multilayered sentence! Nice, subtle foreshadowing of the conclusion. And you baited the hook well to keep me eager for the next story.

Yay, a new Velveteen! God, she's going to be so pissed when she gets caught up. Also I'm still worried about Jackie.

I find it interesting that lying (perhaps especially by omission) is the make-or-break sin for almost every one of your major characters that I've read. Is that intentional?

Eeee yay. Love a Velveteen story. Feel bad for Vel, though - I mean, glad she got out of the seasonal lands, but I think she's going back to a headache and a half at least.

Love this. However, I'm confused by Jacky's status. She used to be Jacky Frost, now she's Jacky Claus? Did we shift to an alternate realty or..? (or "spoilers!!"?)

Kick-ass. This was awesome. I'm late to the party as usual, but thank you so much for this, and looking forward to what comes next! (Also dreadfully worried about what comes next, because hoo boy Vel's coming back to a bunch of messes, but still...)
