Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a...teddy bear?!

It is with absolute joy and no small amount of confusion that I make the following announcement:

Velveteen vs. The Seasons is under discussion to be released this coming Memorial Day weekend at Marcon in Columbus, Ohio. Like the first two volumes, it will be a hardcover from ISFiC Press. It will include all the stories released after the end of volume two (and possibly a few that I haven't had the chance to post yet, depending on how my schedule shakes out).

Action! Adventure! Punching things! Vel having a really, really lousy time! Honestly, I can't wait.

This does, however, bring us to a point of administrative order: my contract terms with ISFiC are for two year periods. This means that at the end of this month, the first two Velveteen volumes will no longer be available for purchase in eBook form. The physical books will remain available until they sell out, and the stories will remain available for free on this blog, but the collected eBooks? Gone. So get 'em now or get 'em never.

I am so thrilled to know that Vel's next big adventure is going to be a book, and I think you're really going to like where things go. My bunny-girl sure did make it a lot farther than I ever thought she would.

For justice!

FOR CAKE!

Thank you! Great news! Fukkinawesome times eleventy!

Also, thanks for the reminder. Somehow I didn't go get the 2nd volume eBook like I thought I had, for some reason. It's been re-added to my Wunderlist reminder thingy.
I know I'm going to get hammered with people who didn't buy the eBooks and can't understand why they've gone away, so I'm hoping this can leaven that a little.

does this mean the third book will be solely in hardcover/hardcopy as well?
There will be an eBook, following the exact same terms (two years on-sale) as the first two.

Congratulations! Just more proof of your awesomeness.

Also, just for myself, I'm glad that yet another of your stories/series will continue to be out in dead tree! Dead trees are easier to loan out and give away.
Awesome! I'm so happy for you/about this; the hardcovers are really lovely editions.
I adore them.
Congratulations! Yay!
Glee.
Oh, look! A birthday present for my birthday!! Wheeeee, more Vel! (It's actually a couple of weeks early for my birthday, but close enough.)
Unless you're going to be at Marcon, you'll probably get the book around your birthday...

Hooray! As someone who's not so into reading stories on websites, I've been hoping that the next batch of Velveteen would make it into print. So glad to hear that it looks like that will be happening.

Great. I'm so behind in my reading of online (and offline) fiction, a hard-cover would be welcome.

And, as a former Chicago area fan, I cannot complain about more good books from ISFiC Press.
I know, right?
*excited man squee*
Congratulations!

Fingers crossed for an audiobook (the first 2 Velveteen audiobooks are constant relistens of mine)
I don't know if there will be; the original audiobook release was a surprise (they offered, I accepted, but whoa, not something I expected).
Velveteen!!!!! *^^* So exciting!
Thank you for the heads up! I've got them, thankfully. What about the audiobooks?
Ma'am, You write well-rounded, thought out, flawed, strong, irritable, powerful, kind, weak, interesting, multi-note female and male characters. You are known for this. You are a talented enough writer, that it really doesn't matter which universe you're writing in or under what name; your readers know that they will find an interesting story chock full of imagination and human (sometimes literally) characters that can be understood and empathized with.

You don't need to be surprised how well they do, how far they go, or how many people they relate to. That happens because of how good at communicating and explaining these people you are. They all go far.

Anyway. Thank you for your stories and characters. Merry Christmas and Happy Yule.

Ooo, time to add to the set :-). Will the hardcover be available through Borderlands?
It will!
Hooray! Saving space on my Kindle for volume 3...
Glee.
Yeep! Should have refreshed this before I spent my gift card. Scampering!
Woot!
But won't you still be able to get the books directly from http://www.isficpress.com/ ?
You will be able to get the physical books from ISFiC. You will not be able to purchase eBooks.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Do you know if there'll be an audio book version yet? I mean, I'll get the hardcover (and have to find a way to get to another appearance of yours to get it signed) but I have the other two on audio and I enjoy having sets.
It will be a long time before I know whether there might be an audio book.
I'm so glad Velveteen continues to get properly published in book form! I have the first 2 ebooks, and will get the third when available.
