SPARROW HILL ROAD shirt inquries.

We've talked about Unicorn Empire and how awesome their stuff is. Now let's talk about why it may be relevant to you.

Here is the design I commissioned from Amber for Sparrow Hill Road. A very limited number of shirts were printed, for conventions I was attending. Some people have asked me what they'd have to do to get one. I've spoken to Amber about whether she'd be willing to do a small run, and she's agreed, as long as there's enough interest.

So this is me, checking interest. Note that if we were to move forward with this, all ordering and fulfillment would be done by Unicorn Empire; no waiting for me to go to the post office or fear of cats in boxes. I would also not be the one handling the money. It will go through her store, as with a normal order. This makes me very happy.

And now...the poll. If your answers are conditional, "IE, I will only order if it's not pink" or whatever, please indicate in the comments.

Poll #2031114 Shirts!

If we did a T-shirt pre-order, would you order one?

other (in comments)

Would you prefer a tote bag option?

Yes

So I would love said t-shirt, however shipping from the store is high in comparison to cost of shirts, about 60% of a shirt to ship to Ireland.

Would it be possible for me to add more t-shirts to an order to maximise my purchase vs postal?

There is at least one other t-shirt I would like, and I plan to look at more of her designs.
That would be a question for Amber, not me; it's not my store, and having mailed things to the UK and Ireland before, I know that the cost of postage, awful as it is, is a reflection of what it costs her, rather than being arbitrary price gouging. :(

Before I answer, to make sure I'm understanding this right -- two color would be something like the Fury Road shirt that she has with the pink over black vs. just black and white, yes? Or is this, available in multiple colors? (Autism is sometimes a pain. -_-)
Two colors would be something like the Fury Road shirt, yeah, where the design is separated into two different colors (possibly black and white, on a colored shirt, possibly silver and green or something like that, on a dark or black shirt) to give added contrast and "pop."
I'm not in a position to order just now, but DAMN that is a lovely design.
Fully understood and also email me. <3

I would absolutely love to get one of those shirts!

If it were only available in pink, I would indeed have to stop and think about it, but any other color would be fair game. (And I swear I didn't say pink because it was your example--it just happens to be the one color that really, really doesn't work for me. ^^;)

Whether this works out or not, thanks for looking into the possibility for us! It's a fantastic shirt. *^^*
Glad to be of service. <3
I would totally buy one of these if they come in fat lady sizes!
Check out Unicorn Empire--they LIVE in fat lady sizes!
The only thing that would prevent me from ordering a shirt would be a lack of my size (3-4x, depending on manufacturer).
That should not be an issue.

my conditionals would be: available in a dark colour base (i.e black or dark shades) and light/white print rather than vice versa.
also avail in my size (though I can usually buy the men's shirt and expect to find my size )
Oh, absolutely.

Also I said tshirt rather thank tank top because of sizing considerations, but if the shirt came in "real" plus sizes (e.g. the way the larger girl-cut tees did for Wicked Girls), than I would totally be on board with a tank top option.
Unicorn Empire's 3XL tank tops are basically where I live these days.
I say tank top because yay menopause and overheating, boo hiss... But that design is amazeballs and I know what great quality stuff she sells, my son's fiancée loves the Supernatural jacket I got her last year.
I see tank top is low in the polls; if that can be an option, that would be really awesome. I can't wear t-shirts most of the time because they are often tight around my shoulders. I'm not sure if that's a possibility, but given how much I have loved my Slasher Chicks tanks (and the three or so my fiancee has run off with), I would probably pre-order a BUNCH.

As you mentioned to my previous comment -- black background and some other color would def. be preferred for me. (Sayeth the lifelong goth. >_>)

But... YAY MORE SHIRTS.
That I DON'T HAVE TO MAKE.

Glee.

(Shirts have never been an income source: some batches we've lost money on, others we've managed to break even, after shipping. So having someone else do it delights.)

Sadly, I am not a candidate for ordering T-shirts (not a budget thing, just a not-part-of-my-wardrobe thing; also, from what I can tell, the shirt size/selection index for Amber's shop is tilted mostly toward a female customer base). OTOH, I would order a tote bag in the proverbial New York minute.
Good to know!
Would love to order one, but it's conditional on whether nor not I can crow-bar the cost of t-shirt+shipping to Australia+terrible conversion rate from my sadly-surgical-recovery-depleted income.
Absolutely.

I hope you're feeling better.

I'd love one, but honestly, I doubt she carries them in my size.
She carries up to 6XL as a standard size in her shop (and sizes her prints accordingly, so they still look amazing at all sizes), but I completely understand the concern.

I'd be delighted to purchase one of these shirts, and possibly a tote bag also. I love Unicorn Empire's artwork, but alas the fandoms she's got on offer aren't mine. So the chance to get amazing artwork for a book I love is win-win-win!
Sqeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I would buy at least one shirt of any configuration (tank, tee, full-body cocoon; one color, two color, prismatic rainbow) for sure! Plus a tote, if there is one. And a scale model of the diner. And and and...

(Just call me Ms. Greedypants)
Nothin' wrong with being a little greedy. I'm the same way. :)
I put down "one" color, but in fact it's a sliding scale; if two colors looked fab enough, it would be worth the bump in cost.
Makes sense.
I would buy a t-shirt, but would vastly prefer a tote just because I don't get many opportunities to wear t-shirts :)
Makes sense.

Makes total sense.
Gorgeous! I love her work.
Me, too.
Can I ask for a sweater? Thank ya.
Not on the first run, no. If it's hugely successful or she gets lots of inquiries, we might be able to do a hoodie now, but pre-orders are very limited in terms of options, for the sake of everyone's sanity, and she does not do special orders.
I'd buy the teal, but probably not another color. I do love me some Rose Marshall and the vintage color just works in my head...

That's also the book that made me a serious fan of your work in general, as opposed to just a casual Toby fan. In addition to just really liking the book, I was in awe of how you managed to balance/ blend your snarky modern voice with the atmosphere and melancholy I like in a ghost story. Just amazing.
It probably won't be teal.

I am so glad you liked it that much!
I love this! I'll tackle my order as soon as the link goes live! :)
We'd totally order a second one, due to my misunderstanding which pile was which and ending up with a women's cut shirt last time. (It wasn't worth trying to exchange, and Sarah enjoys wearing it, but those don't end up as shared shirts between the two of us, unlike most of our clothes.)

Also, hooray for finding a way to do more shirts without you having to handle the ordering and fullfillment!
IT IS AMAZING.

Amazing amazing amazing.
I will order more than one if I can get the 2nd in GIANT VIKING SIZE. :D

Also I don't want pink.
If you check UE's shop, you'll see the available sizes; she goes up to 5XL just as a standard thing, so I think we're okay. If there's a specific "it's called X cut" we need to look for, I can see if that's possible.
