On the thirteenth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a MYSTERY.

Welcome to the last of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. Each giveaway in this year's extravaganza has come with different rules and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, avoiding the post office until that other winter holiday is over).

The thirteenth, and last, giveaway is for a MYSTERY ITEM of some kind. What will it be? No one knows! Not even me. This is going to be a random number drawing, because why I said so. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Tell me one thing you hope the prize is. (ETA: Please only ask for things I might actually have. I can't give you a new job or world peace. I wish I could.)
4. Tell me one thing you hope the prize is not.
5. Tell me why the RNG should pick you.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Sunday, December 20th.

Game on!

Commenting :)

I am from Canada and can pay postage.

I hope this prize is.. a copy of Rolling in the Deep because it's not available in Canada yet.

I hope this prize is not...a tapeworm because I have a fear of those.

The RNG should pick me because... it's random and so am I ;)

1. Comment!
2. I'm in the U.S.
3. I hope the prize is an extra-early copy of "Full of Briars", cause waiting until August will be difficult.
4. I hope the prize is not a clown. Staring at me.
5. The RNG should pick me because I'm an unholy eldritch horror from beyond space-time, and my unending hunger must be appeased somehow.
I am commenting 😺 ...

... And am a local Calif gal;

I really hope the mystery give-a-way is a fill CD (because I kill CDs thru over-playing them)

...... And mostly hope that the mystery give-a-way is -not- perishable (like a zombie or a dinner roll)
1. Hi!
2. I am in New Zealand, and willing to pay postage.
3. Something you have written on (a note, a signed book, an arcane ritual to summon Cthulhu...)
4. Anything that will try to kill me
5. The RNG should pick whoever its non-existent heart desires. I'm just hoping it might be me.

1. Hello
2. In the U.S.
3. I'm hoping it's Chaos Choreography.
4. I hope it's not an invite to do any public speaking. Ugh!
5. It's should pick me because that would totally make my day.
I'm not international...
...I'd like this to include a coupon redeemable for one song at open filk, good at any convention held in 2016 (may be limited to certain hours of the night)...
...I hope it is not a severed body part, unless sending me a severed body part is necessary for the continued existence of humanity, in which case I just hope it isn't a part taken from you or anybody else I like...
...and I can't tell you why a random number generator should pick me, because if it's a proper random number generator, it is completely immune to any reasoning I could put forth.
USA
I hope it is your latest album
I hope it is not Rosemary and Rue as I have it.
Because I support the quarantine.
2. Canadian, and definitely yes
3. I'd love the second Indexing book in audiobook format. Mary Robinette Kowal blew it away in book 1
4. A lump of coal?
5. Because I`m still recovering from a painful root canal last week (with the appointments for the crown coming after Christmas)
Not international
I hope it is something involving music, or trains.
I hope it is not an alligator lizard. Kosh would love it, but I don't think the lizard would like the mail, and I'm not sure how lizard and cats would interact.

The RNG should pick me because my child plans to be a mad scientist (and a train engineer, and a dad, and I'm forgetting something) and will travel back in time, and make it pick me for mother's day.
Commenting from the U.S.
Having never heard your music, I would love a CD of yours (Stars Fall Home, perhaps?).
I would not like some of your cat's fur, mine give me plenty.
The RNG should pick me, because why not? My odds are just as good as everyone else's

1. COMMENT!
2. I have a US address!
3. I wpuld really hope the prize is a copy of one of the print collections of the Velveteen stories. That wpuld be amazing.
4. I hope the prize is not a small dog. They don't ship well.
5. The random number generator should pick me because it picks things randomly and I am nkt random and also I have used random too many times in one sentence. Random.

1. Commenting!
2. Not International!
3. Another CD!
4. A poster!
5. It's my birthday today!
Commenting, in a very hopeful sort of way.

I'm in the U.S. Right in the middle, in fact.

I really hope it's an awesome spider, because I think that's the one thing that my husband might not mind me adding to the menagerie. Though the Post Office might disapprove of shipping awesome spiders. Do we have to tell them?

I hope it's not a zombie kangaroo, because I'm pretty sure my apartment complex doesn't allow those. Even with a current rabies vaccination.

The RNG should pick me because my number the most random and my pumpkin patch is the most sincere (seriously, it is December and there are still pumpkins on my kitchen table because I picked VERY green ones in late October, on purpose. That's sincerity).
1. Weeeeeeeeee!
2. usa
3. creature feature
4. no live and/or dead animals.
5. the RNG should never tell me the odds. the RNG is bringing a little more happiness to the world
1) Commenting on this post :)
2) In Ireland and willing to pay postage
3) Not hoping the prize is anything in particular because I love surprises and hoping would ruin it
4) Hoping it isn't a typed note to say the surprise is that there is no surprise that would be a bad surprise
5) The RNG should pick me because I never win anything and it might be time, finally

1. This is an official comment: Thanks so much for the chance!
2. USA homegrown
3. A signed book. Any book of yours, under any of your pen names.
4. a chewed up piece of gum. While anything from you would be awesome... that's not so awesome.
5. Because you're among my favorite authors and I pimp your books out to my friends like the books are dimestore hookers (... this sounded better in my head, I think.)
1. Hello! I hope your holidays are going well.
2. I am totally local.
3. I am really open to anything, though secretly hoping for an arc of something I have yet to read (or Every Heart A Doorway, since Amazon has been torturing me with it for like 8 months in my feeds).
4. A vial of live Kellis-Amberlee.
5. I give magnificent pettings and make great food, for humans or kittehs.
I am not international, sadly.

I would like it to be the complete manuscript of Don't Go Out Alone.

I would prefer it not to be kiddie pools of blood.

The RNG should (or should not depending on perspective) pick me because I created this account just to be able to post this comment.
oooOOOooo, a mystery! I'm in.

I would love for the prize to be something that you love and want to share. I would rather not have one of your stabby implements - it's a thing. And I think the RNG should pick me because if it doesn't, I'll think it doesn't love me.

1. Comment :) (Witty, I ain't.)
2. International, will pay postage.
3. I hope it is something excellent to read, even more hopefully by you.
4. I hope it is not a bobcat.
5. RNG should pick me because it would be something nice after a whole bunch of weird crap lately. And also because my husband's Magic 8 Ball said "it is certain".
I am in the US. If you could grant anything, I'd ask to pass all my final exams today (by magically ensuring I don't forget anything), but in lieu of that, I'm hoping you have copies of "Red Roses and Dead Things" because SCIENCE. I'm hoping it's not one of the October Daye novels already published, because I buy them all immediately when they come out. The RNG should look with favor upon poor students studying things with very low probability of happening that somehow happen anyway. (Poor was meant to describe my understanding of quantum mechanics, but I suppose my budget is similar.)
I'm international and happy to pay postage. I hope it's a Wicked Girls poster or other filk thing! I hope it's not one of the Incryptid novels because I have them already, although I would happily begin lending them out :) The RNG should pick me because otherwise I will smite it with my wrath.
