On the thirteenth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a MYSTERY.

Welcome to the last of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. Each giveaway in this year's extravaganza has come with different rules and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, avoiding the post office until that other winter holiday is over).

The thirteenth, and last, giveaway is for a MYSTERY ITEM of some kind. What will it be? No one knows! Not even me. This is going to be a random number drawing, because why I said so. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Tell me one thing you hope the prize is. (ETA: Please only ask for things I might actually have. I can't give you a new job or world peace. I wish I could.)
4. Tell me one thing you hope the prize is not.
5. Tell me why the RNG should pick you.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Sunday, December 20th.

You will be very disappointed; it is not possible to get an ARC of the new Toby Daye, as those will not exist until July.

3. An ARC of Chaos choreography (because I can't get it right yet any other way and I wants it. So much.)
4. A copy of Feed, because I have Feed already in multiple formats, which is great, but another would be excessive.
5. Because it would comfort me as I write my dissertation, and I would whisper to sea slugs songs of its glories.

I am a resident of the US.

I really hope the prize is a Tangible Something (song or poem or story or something in between) set in Toby's 'verse. If it isn't such a Thing (but is some other, entirely different Thing) I will be just as happy - this was the first Thing that popped into my head.

I really hope the prize is not your latest experiment in interesting infections. I mean, I love your stories and songs about those topics, I just don't think I could properly appreciate the real-world incarnation of them. Something about liking my personal autonomy and health, I dunno.

The RNG should pick me because I enjoy statistical improbabilities that somehow, magically, become realities.

I hope the prize is one of those Toby-book-cover pendants I am pretty sure I remember you expressing delight over the existence of. (I am fairly certain there is an online place to buy them but I cannot for the life of me recall where.)

I hope the prize is not a Toby book because I have all the Toby books. (On that note: Thank you for Walther.)

The RNG should pick me because, unless someone has snuck in while I am typing this, my comment will be lucky number 13.

No more Christmas cookies! We have way too much of a good thing here.
I made a propitiating sacrifice to the RNG already, so it needs to fulfill its side of the bargain.

5. It should pick me because my number happens to come up. Any other reason would be kinda disturbing, as it would indicate that the RNG had become sentient and thus was no longer actually an RNG.

I hope the prize is a box set of the Newsflesh series. I have the books in audio format and I'd love something I could hold.
I hope it's not one of your CD's, only because I hardly ever listen to music. I used to, then I had kids.

I hope the prize is something I don't already have like an ARC of Chaos & Choreography or an out of print album or Velveteen vs books, preferably signed because that makes them extra special.

I hope the prize is not snakes...or frogs. While I don't think you would mail these things you never know.

The RNG should pick me since it hasn't picked me yet and 22 is great number. It's got 2 2's in it!

I hope the prize will be a Chaos Choreography ARC, or The Mad Scientist's Guide to World Domination, or Indexing: Reflections, or a promise of the Toby-meets-Quentin's-parents ARC or next Toby ARC when they come out, or really any of the books.
I hope it is not a bobcat. (Credit for the idea goes to XKCD 576)
