On the sixth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...copies of Half-Off Ragnarok and Pocket Apocalypse!

Welcome to the sixth of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. I will be starting a new giveaway every day between now and December 13th. Each giveaway will have different rules, and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, avoiding the post office until that other winter holiday is over).

The sixth giveaway is for copies of Half-Off Ragnarok and Pocket Apocalypse (InCryptid #3 and #4, respectively). These are the two Alex books, and will bring you up to date for March. This is going to be a random number drawing, because I want to go watch The Librarians. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Name your favorite cryptid.
4. That's it.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Sunday, December 13th.

Game on!

ETA: This drawing is now CLOSED.

My favorite would have to be the Apraxis wasps, because of the danger level--i mean, nobody wants to go anywhere near them, so they have to be pretty great.
The Aeslin Mice are always super fun to read about, though clearly not nearly as much to experience in person.

Australian reader, happy to pay international postage, should I be so lucky.
I love the Waheela, but the Aeslin mice have got to be my favorites

I love the Aeslin mice. I would rather have an Aeslin colony than a Companion. (that's Companion in the Valdemar sense, but honestly, I'd rather have the mice than a Registered Companion in the 'verse sense as well.) It would be a tough call between the Aeslin and Impressing a Pernese dragon, though.

P.S. I mostly just commented because of my love for the Aeslin mice. If you do pick me, please send the books to Alumiere and I will help with postage. (I don't know Alumiere personally, but I know a lot about being a broke fan)

In the US.

I'm a fan of the little cryptic critters, Aeslin mice and frickens.

This is my favorite series and my favorite cryptids are the Aeslin mice (oh, gosh, aren't they everyone's?) Still, there it is. I love them.

1. I love just everything you write that I have read. Which is almost everything that wasn't written under Mira Grant
2. I live in Canada but since I sort of hate international shipping rates, I have a US address. Thank goodness for loving relatives.
3. My favourite cryptid species is a tie between the mice (because the mice are awesome and hilarious and you can never have too much hilarious) and the dragons (because science reasons!) and the gorgons (because science and social dynamics). My favourite cryptid individual people are Istas and Sarah because they are both really awesome in their own ways.
4. Now I will run so I am not late for work!

I love the Aeslin Mice!!! <3 <3 <3

from Virginia, USA
I really liked the story about the finfolk. But I love exploring cryptid societies in the short stories. (As much as I love Alex's biological nerdery.)
Hard not to love the Aeslin mice, but I'm also quite fond of the next new cryptid to be introduced, because the anticipation and delight of wondering what you're going to throw at us next is always fun.

I'm in the US.
Hi!

I have to admit to being partial to the Madhura. Nothing better than sweets, amirite?

Thank you for doing this!
I'm from the United States and will pay postage.
My favorite cryptid is Dee, and favorite type is Pliny's Gorgon.

I like how Dee understands why Alex, as a Price, has to be capable of the sort of violence the Price's and Covenant are capable of, despite his personal inclinations and still took the time to get to know him as a person and coworker. Given how tight her community is, that's a huge leap for anyone, let alone someone who has to constantly hide. She's awesome to show that kind of understanding, and mastering her fear that way. I deeply wish, that I and the rest of America could try to be that brave more often.
My favorite cryptids are the tanuki. They have pleasant personalities and an adorable raccoon dog form but are still capable of protecting themselves in "combat-ready shape."
I'm a Pacific Northwest girl, so Sasquatch it is!
HAIL! Aislin mice for life.
Free stuff is awesome, so please give it to me. KTHXBI
I would kill for a Church's griffin (gryphon? I can never keep track of which spelling goes with which fantasy world). SMALL CATBIRDS YES PLS.
I am in the U.S. and I love the Aeslin mice and want a colony for my own.
I already have Half-Off Ragnarok, so if I win that please pass it to someone else.

Favorite cryptid... the lake monster! I can't remember it's official name, but it's adorable. :)

Does the Hogfather count as a cryptid?

Oh. In that case, swamp dragons. Everyone like the glamorous ones.

:)

(Oh - I'm in Boston, America.)

.....and it's gotta be the Aslan Mice as my favorite cryptids (and autocorrect on my iPad is driving me nuts, apologies)
Definitely the Church Griffin. I want one, even knowing how much trouble the average domesticated cat can get into. US address.
Dragon Princesses. in the usa.
Aeslin Mice, hands down
