Welcome to the fifth of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. I will be starting a new giveaway every day between now and December 13th. Each giveaway will have different rules, and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, avoiding the post office until that other winter holiday is over).

The fifth giveaway is for copies of The Winter Long and A Red-Rose Chain (October Daye #8 and #9, respectively). Because these are later books in the series, I ask that you please not enter if you haven't read the earlier books; I would feel terrible for spoiling you. This is going to be a random number drawing, because I'm about to leave for my Borderlands event. So...

Hard to compete with the main character. Toby is my favorite, but I also really enjoy Tybalt, Walther Davies, Quentin, January, and many other characters.

I am safely in the US.

I love Toby herself dearly, but I think it may be a toss-up whether Tybalt or the Luideag is my favorite character.
Or maybe it's Danny, despite his questionable fondness for barghests.
Or maybe it...whoever I most recently read about? So many fabulous characters to choose from!

If I should somehow win this gift, I am willing to share The Winter Long with another deprived fan, since Belovèd Spousal Unit already got us a copy.

A few months ago I would have said my favorite character was Tybalt but at the moment I think it's May. Or the Luidaeg. Not sure.

My favourite character, the one who tends to make me smile when they're on the page (Even if I sometimes groan out of frustration due to mysteries) is Luidaeg.

Damn, I want to do a series re-read now.

... who loves ALL your characters in the Toby series, but today I like Quentin just a smidge more, because he is the world's most adorable squire. [And when I thought this, I thought 'squire' is almost 'squirrel', which is why I chose Quentin today.]

Favourite character? DEFINITELY THE LUIDAEG! HOW IS THERE ANY QUESTION, SHE'S GREAT! More gynosexual terrifying sea witches YES PLEASE!

(I do not know if you are familiar with Neko Atsume ("cat collector"), a little app in which you have kitties frolicking around on your screen and playing with toys. I have decided to rename all my kitties after your assorted characters (from all your worlds!) which means The Luidaeg comes quite frequently to bat around the bit-of-fluff-on-a-string or what have you. I find this exceptionally great, every time.)

Canada, great place to live. Not great to ship things to. Thankfully, I have a US postal address.
How do you expect me to pick ONE fabourite Toby character?? I love them all!! But here goes... I'm a huge fan of Toby and Tybalt (individually and as a unit) and have been since day one. I also adore the Luidaeg, May, and Danny.

My favorite character will ALWAYS be Spike. Yes, the humonoid characters have more depth, but I adore the Rose Goblin, and I NEED ONE IN MY LIFE!

My favorite character has to be Toby. No matter how ridiculous or frustrating a situation she gets dropped into, she perseveres. I love that about her.
