On the fourth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a copy of Indexing!

Welcome to the fourth of the Thirteen Days of Hogswatch. I will be starting a new giveaway every day between now and December 13th. Each giveaway will have different rules, and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on December 30th, because I am bad at going to the post office (and also, avoiding the post office until that other winter holiday is over).

The third giveaway is for a copy of Indexing (the first one). This is going to be a random number drawing, because I just got home from the East Coast two days ago, and I'm still tired. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate both this and your willingness to pay postage.
3. Name your fairy tale.
4. That's it.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Friday, December 11th.

Game on!

ETA: This drawing is now CLOSED.

I am in the US.

My fairy tale is definitely Beauty and the Beast.
1. Would dragons, as a result of their evolved psychology be unable to form a civilization?
2. I have a U.S. shipping address.
3. Puss in Boots
4. "I told him we already got one"
I have a fondness for The Snow Queen, since it's about a girl who is saving her male friend, and she does it by making friends and being kind to others.
Happy Holidays from Ohio, USA

Sleeping Beauty because Maleficent.
Australian postage accepted as always

you'd know better than I where (if at all) it falls on the index, but I'm gonna go with maybe Pygmalion, I dunno, I don't really feel like a fairy tale most of the time :)
I'm Vasilia the Brave, who outwitted Baba Yaga through cleverness and hard work. (and while I'm in the US, totally cool with paying postage)
I think it'd be Sleeping Beauty because I love all the portrayals of Maleficent I have seen so far. Something about her just appeals to me. :-)
Beauty and the Beast would be my fairy tale. My personal twist to the tale would be that I play both roles.
Can I pick Naomi Novik's Uprooted as my fairytale? If not, then Aurore and Aimée!
Hmmm, Id probably have to lean towards the Sparrow with the split tongue.

2) US Address
3) Snow White

I'm in the Beauty and the Beast brigade. Doesn't seem to matter the version, I get sucked in. (Tho, Granny Weatherwax or Tiffany Aching vs. the Queen are pretty near the top, for a not-quite-fairy tale option.) US shipping for me.
East of the Sun and West of the Moon: curiosity and ill-advised actions messing things up but determination making things right sounds familiar.

I am very willing to pay postage to New Zealand.
My fairy tale would be Little Red Riding Hood.
I always liked "The Snow Queen". Does it count as a fairy tale if it's professionally written?
Fairy tale=little red riding hood. Currently.
I am in the U. S. I love books of new twists on old fairy tales. My fairy tale is Little Red Riding Hood.

In the U.S.

I'm extremely torn between The Twelve Dancing Princesses and Vasilisa the Beautiful. I love both stories to bits.
I'm in the US. I always liked Diamonds and Toads. Yay!
Hi. I'm in the USofA.

I'm sort of partial to The Fairy Queen in the Form of a Frog, I really like the grey steed that turns out to be a cat.
My fairy tale is The Funny Thing by Wanda Gag

Puss in Boots.

In the USA, here.
Hi! I'm international and willing to pay postage.

12 Dancing Princesses (a la Juliet Marillier)
My fairy tale involves Tiffany Aching and a cast-iron frying pan.

Alternately, Beauty and the Beast.
Your first choice is an excellent one.
