The ninth episode of Indexing: Reflections is available today! This is your talkpost and discussion zone. There will be spoilers in the comments here. As always on talkposts, I have partial comment amnesty, and will not be responding to everything.
"Feline Cobbling" brings us one step closer to the end of this volume, and one step deeper into the shadows that surround the path. No cats were harmed in the writing of this installment.
This was awesome! Sloane shows us new depths, Adrianna is revealed and then ... gagghhh! I look forward to these episodes so much, and by the end of them I'm actually trembling.
Adrianna made what could have been a very, very bad mistake in this one, when she told Sloane that Henry was never coming back. She is really lucky Sloane didn't believe it; the only thing that kept her from hurting Adrianna was the fact that she's in Henry's body, and if Sloane really believed Henry was gone for good, I don't think anything would have stopped her from killing Adrianna.
I suspect a strange Snow White is about to come charging to the rescue.
Every time I get a new episode, Sloane jumps another rank or two on my list of Favorite Characters Ever, and she didn't start off all that low on that list.
I may have said this before, but the more Sloane narrates, and the more of her story is revealed, the more I love her.
And I'm very much looking forward to seeing Henry, Sloane, and the team take Adrianna down. Omg it's been a long time since I wanted to see an antagonist get theirs this badly...!
Poor Ciara, though. I mean, imagine being married to a man who's fighting not to become a Bluebeard, and dating a woman whose typical means of dealing with things is screaming at them until they shut up and go away.
Sloan is almost as enjoyable as The Luidaeg, and you KNOW how much I love The Luidaeg. The change in narration style is so well done. This book has been even more enjoyable than the first (admittedly, with first books we get used to new worlds and new characters...) and part of me doesn't want it to end EVER, now that we are grounded in this world.
You have no idea how much I look forward to the new chapters. Sometimes when things are going badly with my mother's battle, I save the chapter, to read it later in the week, when I really need a boost of something diverting. Thank you.

Any chance we can shove this woman in a mirror for good?

I love the narration from Sloane's point of view. I want more and more and more. She should have her own book.

...actually, that might work.
