Ain't no party like a Borderlands party, 'cause a Borderlands party has books!

Hey! You!

This coming Saturday, December 5th, will be the book release party for Chimera at Borderlands Books in San Francisco, California! Borderlands Books is an independent bookstore specializing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and mystery; what's more, they are happy to take phone and email orders for signed and personalized books. Yay!

The party begins at 3:00pm. Come for a Q&A, signing, raffle, and the usual "more." What does "more" mean? Well, you'll have to be there to find out.

Sarah, Joshua, and I are looking forward to finally making it to one of your Mira Grant releases! Whether we bring Kitten and her mother this time is still uncertain, as it is almost, but not quite the end of the semester, so her mother has lots of grading to do.

We will be coming straight from a birthday party for one of Joshua's friends. You rate quite highly in his and her book; Joshua's response when told that he and she would have to be willing to leave the party when we said to so we could make it to your release party was: "Seanan's having a release party? Awesome!"

(Note: the interesting pronouns are because Joshua has decided to be a "boy and girl", at least in part due to peer pressure over interests seen as belonging to one gender or the other. This seems a quite reasonable response to us, and we're quite supportive of our child's efforts to learn his and her identity.)

Looks like it will be just three of us; Kitten has a concert (Choir) that day. We've hit her holiday perfomance season.
