Another day in this carnival of souls...

...another night's end, and, as quickly as it goes...

Inchworm, inchworm, measuring the never-ending parade of ongoing projects, keeping me from losing track of what I'm doing and dissolving into a weeping pile of insecurities and confusion. Hooray!

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

The Best Thing
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
"Best in Show"
Down Among the Sticks and Bones
"Shore to Shore"
"Dreams and Slumbers"
"vs. Going Home Again"
Echo

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

Could you clarify the strikethrough? Is it written but sold to something not yet announced?

Sometimes when I look at these lists I feel so guilty thinking about your lack of sleep. Then I remember that you have spectacular cats you need to support in fine style. ;)

BTW, it's time for more polite but sad and disgruntled emails to the publisher of The Best Thing.
Strikethrough means it's finished. Whatever else it is, it's finished.

Here is the update from Thrillbent:

Yay for finished! Finished is always splendid.

Thanks for the update from Thrillbent. It's still been long, but I'm hanging in there.

BTW, the first time I read "Holly Tree" I teared up, reading about how awful, lonely and hard Sloane's life has been. That was a powerful chapter.
