INDEXING: REFLECTIONS episode #6, "Frostbite."

The sixth episode of Indexing: Reflections is available now! This is your talkpost and discussion zone. There will be spoilers in the comments here. As always on talkposts, I have partial comment amnesty, and will not be responding to everything.

"Frostbite" marks the end of the first half of this serial, and the beginning of the second (funny how that works). Time is strange, in the whiteout wood. Hurry, and you may catch up.

Once upon a time...

Well, this isn't good. I'll just have to trust Sloane to catch on fast and deal with the impersonator.

Jeff is the one I'm really worried about right now. When he sees Henry's eyes open, he won't be thinking, he'll be feeling. He'll be so happy that she's back he's likely to miss any red flags, or attribute them to her being disoriented. He's all alone with her, and Adrianna made it pretty clear she plans on doing some killing.

Still, I imagine she intends to try and pass herself off as Henry for a time, and that will trip her up. Henry isn't dead, or in danger of dying. Adrianna told her she'd be doing the same thing in 20 years, so she knew she couldn't kill Henry in the Whiteout Wood. All she could do was trap her there, and for Henry to get back, she needs Adrianna out of her body.

Sounds to me like someone may need to force feed her an apple. I wonder who they could find to do that?
I figure the first time Adrianna says something nasty about Gerry, the jig will be up. But yes, it's going to be especially hard on poor Jeff.

In Sloane we trust... Which sounds weird, but on the other hand she's had more experience with the narratives than the rest of the team put together. So, trust Sloane and hope.

While I'm thinking about it, I wonder if Adrianna really is Henry's auntie, or if that's another lie.

It's going to be a very long fortnight.
Well, there's enough of a resemblance between them for our suspicious Henry to buy it.
Yes, but can we trust appearances in the wood?

I've guessed wrong before, so who knows?
I don't think Henry believes her just because there's a familial resemblance. It's an "I am your father" moment; she doesn't want to believe it, but she knows it's true. It could be this is why Adrianna is able to hijack her body; maybe there needs to be a blood connection to use someone as a doorway.
A blood connection, that's an interesting thought.
It came to me when I was pondering the first part of this chapter. It seems that Adrianna waited for Henry to be born before she took her own life. Why? There had to be other Snow Whites out there, so why did she need Henry? The only answer I can come up with is they share the same blood.
