Because I am broke from all that T-shirt mailing right now, and tired of spending over an hour on every visit to the post office—so both financial and mental health reasons—this first giveaway will be US only. I am sorry about that, and will try to have an international giveaway sooner than later. To enter...
1. Comment on this entry. Top-level comments only; replies to existing comments cannot win.
2. Indicate that you have a US mailing address.
3. Name your favorite Toby book.
...and that's all. Three winners will be chosen by our old friend, the random-number generator, on Tuesday, June 23rd. Winners will then have twenty-four hours to get me their contact info, via my website contact form, before their prize is forfeit.
Game on!
ETA: And we are closed.

Pick me! Pick me!

Favorite Toby book, at this moment in time, is The Winter Long. First of all, I could not put it down, even when I desperately needed to go to bed. Second, there is a very particular moment in that book that had me saying, "Oh, shit!" out loud, so loudly that I woke up my wife who was sleeping all the way on the other side of the apartment, in another room, with a tapestry in the doorway between us, and her CPAP machine going. She got up and came out to the living room to see what was wrong. That moment, when everything came together - that was pure concentrated awesomesauce.

I guess if I absolutely had to pick one it would be A Local Habitation, but I usually end up reading it as a twofer with An Artificial Night? (I tend to read the books in pairs)
I am in the US!

3. Currently, I'm feeling like /An Artificial Night/ -- although I asked my boyfriend for input and he suggested /Late Eclipses/.

My favorite Toby book is An Artificial Night because of the Tam Lin bits. I'm a huge fan of the ballad, though not as big as

My favorite Toby book is still An Artificial Night, for the Wild Hunt, for the Tam Lin references, and just because, for me, that's where it all got real and deep. Also the Luideag at the crossroads. Damn. And all the feels and how it broke my heart for the Sea Witch.
Ashes of Honor is my favorite (tough call though)

You are so generous to do this so soon after mailing all those t-shirts! I'm excited about A Red-Rose Chain and I'm sure it's as beautiful as you say.
I am a U.S. citizen living in California.

I'm going to say either Rosemary and Rue, because that's what brought me into this breathtaking series, or An Artificial Night, because I have an autographed copy. I always re-read the last few before the next book comes out, so they're all starting to blur together into one big long story.
I am in the US. Currently between permanent homes, but I do have an address.
