A RED-ROSE CHAIN cover reveal.

So it's no secret around here that I love, love, love my DAW covers, or that showing them off is one of my true pure joys in life. Chris McGrath, who designs the covers for the October Daye books, has been everything I could have hoped for in a cover artist. He's incredible. Want proof?

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS OH MY GOD IT'S THE COVER TO A RED-ROSE CHAIN AND IT'S GORGEOUS!

Look at that color palette! This is only the second time Toby's been in a dress for a book cover, and the color is a perfect inversion of The Winter Long and I am just so delighted. So delighted.

Glee.

(As always, I claim full comment amnesty, although I love it when you comment, because I can show my cover artists and make them happy.)

BTW: Chris McGrath's covers are my favorites in the genre. They are always gorgeous.

OK, it's awesome, and I want it now. And I don't want to know who the blood on the dress belongs to, though the color matches beautifully with the falling leaves and the flowers.

I squealed when I saw it on Tumblr and I'll do it again. This is so amazing and I keep staring at the cover and oohing and ahhing and trying to figure out why she's ... nevermind, it's Toby. She's going to bleed profusely. But I'm looking at her clothing and the blood and the castle (?) in the background and the rose petals and ... argh, /everything/. This is a stunning cover and I want September to be here so I can read it and paw at it.
