Hardship giveaway for the sake of my storage space.

Okay: I just had cause to go through my bins of author's copies, and it's getting scary in there. Very, deeply scary. So! It's time for a hardship giveaway.

What is a hardship giveaway? It's where I give away older books (not ARCs or just-released) to people who couldn't afford to buy them when they came out, and/or can't afford them now. It's an honor system: I believe that you will honor my intent, and only enter if you have a genuine need. Because T-shirt mailing is ongoing, this particular giveaway is only open to people with US addresses. I am so sorry about that, I really am, but a) I can't afford international postage (which is sort of contradictory to the whole "hardship" angle), and b) my postal workers will kill me if I add more international shipping right now.

To enter...

1) Comment on this post, indicating that you have a US address.
2) Tell me what book you are hoping to win. Anything I've written.
2a) Hell, feel free to list anthologies.
3) If you have a second choice, list that.

I cannot guarantee that I have any specific book "in stock," as it were, but I can sure look. (I can tell you for sure that I don't have Rosemary and Rue or Feed right now.)

I will choose five winners on Wednesday, February 4th. They will have twenty-four hours to contact me to claim their prizes.

Shoot for the moon!

1. I live in the US.
2. Discount Armageddon
3. Deadline or Symbiont
I would love a copy of Symbiont. I can't afford the hardcover right now, and Chicago's libraries' waitlists are loooooong.

And heck, if you've got a copy of the Glitter and Mayhem anthology kicking around, I'd cry with joy. I supported the kickstarter, but moved and forgot to update my address before they shipped, so never got my copy.
Hi!

I'm one of the Glitter & Mayhem editors. :)

I'm so sorry that you didn't receive your copy. If you email me at michaeldamianthomas @ gmail [dot] com, I'll see what we can do to fix this.

Best,

Michael
I'm in the U.S. I'd love to have Late Eclipses or Ashes of Honor - or Sparrow Hill Road. I've read all three from the library, but I'd love to own them...Thanks!
In the US.
Indexing
Parasite

I have so much trouble letting myself buy more than one book per author a year. Only got through Newsflesh because my library was carrying it (And they only got the finale because I demanded it)

Live in Charleston SC
Wishing for "Fantasy Medley 2"
Really want to read the Tybalt story <3 and our Public Library doesn't have this book .... Reading all the other Toby books that way
In the US.
In the hope of not having to move a public library next time I change residences I have been buying everything for Kindle or Audible (usually both if possible), so would love anything papery!
The cats would love anything with Tybalt.
  1. I live in the US.
  2. The Winter Long.

Best of luck reclaiming your space!

1. US address
2. Local Habitation
3. Artificial Night

This is a fantastic plan!
1. US resident!
2. Indexing
3. Symbiont [if that's too recent, either of the Velveteen books]

This is a lovely idea and made me tear up a little. When every penny counts, physical books tend to get cut first and it stinks not being able to mark up the copies from the library or the ones read in the bookstore.

I would love ANY Toby books in hard copy! I buy the ebook when I can when they go on sale (and I mean REALLY on sale), but can't afford physical copies, which I really want.

U.S. resident (good ole Georgia).

I'm in the US. So far, I'm still missing Glitter and Mayhem, Hex And The City, Coins Of Chaos, and Letters To The Pumpkin King. I'll take whichever of those surfaces first, of course... or whichever you need to get rid of the most.
I have a US address; I'm hoping to win The Mad Scientist's Guide to World Domination, with Parasite as a second choice. Thank you :)

Thank you!
I have a US address I could use! My first choice would be Fantasy Medley 2 (the one Rat-Catcher is in), and my second choice would be Symbiont. My THIRD choice (because I feel that both my choices may be long shots), would be An Artificial Night.
I have a US address and I would love Fantasy Medley 2 (Tybalt!!!) or One Salt Sea.

1. I live in the US.
2. Any of the velveteen books.
3. Symbiont.

I live in the continental U.S.! And I would be thrilled to receive a copy of either "Parasite" or the "In This House" anthology. :) Thank you!
I have a US address, and I'm hoping for a copy of Sparrow Hill Road or Fantasy Medley 2.
am in the US
Ashes of Honor or Chimes at Midnight

(or really anything you need to let go of; I've requested your books from the library, but they've not gotten the latest two or three, because acquisition funding cuts. *grumble*)

(I'm not even buying used books any more; this year's SSDI increase was, oh, about $80 less per month than my increased medication co-pays. Big pharma - we hates it precious, oh yes we do...) (/end irrelevant self-pitying whine)
Artificial Night - Toby beats Blind Michael!!!
or Glitter and Mayhem, which my library does not carry and so I can't read. :(

I live in the US! I would love a copy of either the Velveteen books, and I would squee until forever if I could get my hands on a copy of A Fantasy Medley 2 I want to read "Rat-Catcher" so bad it hurts.

1. US address, yes.
2. Discount Armageddon
3. Parasite

I haven't been able to afford ANY books of any kind (computer ebook or hard copy) for...almost six months now, and I can't get to the nearest library. *travel issues, yay* And I've been wanting at least one of your books for months. This would be a godsend.
