Let's go to Australia and poke horrible things with a stick for fun!

It's time for my first Pocket Apocalypse giveaway! Hooray! This giveaway is going to be US addresses only; I'm still mailing T-shirts, and my post office workers are starting to mysteriously go on break when I show up, because of all the international packages. I know it's not fair, but I can't add more customs forms to the pile or they're going to close completely.

I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.

So, the rules for this one:

1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.

I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 27th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.

I'm in the US.

There are so many cryptids to love! My favorite is the chupacabra. Having grown up in south and west Texas, I can totally see the chupacabra community getting tired or folks getting everything wrong and outing themselves.

1.) It would awesome to get a chance to read Pocket Apocalypse early
2.) I live in the US
3.) My favorite cryptid would be the aeslin mice. They're so earnest in their devotion to their chosen families and while the constant veneration might get old there would always be a reason to partake in cheese and cake.

My favorite cryptid is the Mishigamaa because I grew up close to that area of the country and support many kinds of conservation efforts there.

1) I just created a LiveJournal account for the sole purpose of participating in this giveaway. It is rare for me to venture outside of my comfort zone, let alone to create accounts on sites.

2) I've got a US address. Yay!

3) Favorite is.... the Madhura, just barely beating out Cuckoos (specifically Sarah, because I adore how she learned ethics from Star Trek, which I'd just started watching when I picked up your books for the first time). I love them because they're wonderful and amazing (and the grown-ups can defy and identify Cuckoos), they're not fighters, and they bake delicious things. I'm trying to teach myself to bake and cook (not very well, so far, maybe passable), and I love sweets, and it makes me happy to find there's a cryptid that is best known for baking.

2. In the US and hoping this blizzard isn't as bad as the ratings-starved TV people want us to believe.
3. Favorite cryptid of the moment would be coatls. I've always liked Aztec mythology, and c'mon, sneks that fly! What's not to love about that?

In U.S. and I have to say the thylacine, b/c shortly after finishing Ragnarok I read a magazine article about "Creatures People Didn't Think Existed," and they had a picture of a thylacine! And seeing it mentioned IRL after having just read about it in one of your books was just SO COOL!

Hello, I am in the US, and my favorite cryptid is cactus cats. Part of that is because I am a cat person to the bone, and part of it is because I live in the desert and I miss having animals around me-- it feels like there are mostly birds around, and the occasional squirrel. Cactus cats make my life just that more populated.

(also the field guide is so awesome omg how have I not seen it before)

I do indeed have a US address. I happen to the partial to coatls, something about a flying snake brings joy to my heart. I'd love to have a small family of blue and yellow coatls hanging around the house to keep bats from infesting the attic.

I think maybe the Tanuki are my favorite. I love that they have three forms, and that one is adorable and the other terrifying.

Hope I'm not to late! I've hardly been on the computer in days. (When not at work anyway.) I do live in the US.

My favorite cryptid in the field guide is the Screaming Yam, because they are just so ridiculous. Plus, they make me think of the vampire squash in Digger.

My favorite in the series are the Madhura. Because yummy baking people who smell awesome and cut down dental bills are good people in my book and I want some to move to my neighborhood.

I've lived in Massachusetts my whole life, except for a brief, somewhat ill-advised sojourn in New Hampshire.

My favorite cryptid is the Waheela, because I admire Istas's grim practicality and her fashion sense. My second favorite is the church griffin, because adorable in a rather destructive way. I'm waiting for Crow to bring Alex machetes.

All the cryptids are marvelous!

Cactus Cats are my favorite because, well it seems so obvious; just look at them on Seanan's page, they are seriously fantastic animals. Also, I'm pretty sure I may be living with at least one (Skeeter's awfully prickly).

I'm in the US with a ship-able address.
