Let's go to Australia and poke horrible things with a stick for fun!

It's time for my first Pocket Apocalypse giveaway! Hooray! This giveaway is going to be US addresses only; I'm still mailing T-shirts, and my post office workers are starting to mysteriously go on break when I show up, because of all the international packages. I know it's not fair, but I can't add more customs forms to the pile or they're going to close completely.

I will do open-to-international giveaways before the book is released, and I'm hoping to clear out more of the pending packages in the next week or so.

So, the rules for this one:

1. Leave a comment.
2. Indicate that you have a US address I can ship to. (You don't have to live in the US. You just have to have a US address.)
3. Name your favorite cryptid and why.

I will use the RNG to choose three winners on Tuesday, January 27th. But there's a twist! Only one person can win for each cryptid. So be honest! Name your favorite! Just be aware that the odds are lower for the Aeslin mice than for, say, the swamp bromeliads.

The field guide is here, if you need some help.

Game on!

1. Hello, a comment!
2. I have a US address.
3. I'm kind of in love with your take on dragons, and this might be in large part due to the very short Leverage/Incryptid crossover you did on your Tumblr about Parker's heritage. (Before you posted that? I was sort of meh-okay-yeah-sure about your dragons. After? ALL ABOUT THAT GOLD, BOUT THAT GOLD.)

Screaming yams! Because they must be a cousin of the LOL WHUT pear, and the vampire squash in Digger.

I have a US address and a deep and abiding love for the Cactus Cats.

I want the church griffons as a pet but the cactus cats are so *catty*, like hi there I'l poke you when you pet me. Also the illustrations sold me on them.

(how many alsos can I use). I also love them because they are basically lynxes. Lynxes are best.

I have an address in the US and my favorite cryptid is the Lesser Gorgon because the thought of having to feed your snake hair, or having your hair get annoyed at you intrigues me.
1. Here a comment was left. I didn't lose it, only gave it a home.
2. US
3. Aeslin Mice because ... I can't really help it, they're adorable and obnoxious and hilarious. I'm pretty glad I don't have any but they'd be fun to visit.
Yay cryptids! I do have a US address. I like frickens, because I love birds, and frogs with feathers are just so delightfully bizarre and also cute. Having looked at the field guide again, I'd even narrow it down to the poison dart frickens, because the spring plumage drawings make me think of the tropical birds that do weird mating dances with their plumage.
Not entering per se, but I had to comment re: your title for this post-- your Aussie posts on tumblr have sold me on never, ever going to Australia. Thanks for the warnings!
1. HELLO THIS IS A COMMENT
2. US (I swear I will go lower case eventually, or, as the case might be, now)
3. Given my surname, I think I'm contractually obligated to vote for the griffins. :)
I'm in the US.

I pick the frickens for their almost profane and "dad joke" level punny name; moreover, they've got a Frances connection, and she's quite possibly my favorite member of the family. I also like that they're "mostly harmless" (except the poison dart variety). (To be clear for the sake of the rules, I'm not picking the poison dart frickens but rather the common NA swamp variety.)
I like to comment.

I'm in love with the North American Questing Beast and have no idea why. I just think it is awesome and I want one as a pet.
Living in Louisiana (still part of the US, I guess, though sometimes it feels like a third world country). I do love the mice but I wouldn't want to be one. I want to be a Dragon Princess and to be beautiful and rich--what's the downside? So, they would have to be my favorite. Just love the series.
1: Squee! New Incryptid!
2: I just moved to America. Would you believe me if I told you it was for the sole purpose of having a US mailing address?
3: The Garrinna are probably my favourites at the moment because the galah/thylacine mix is pretty cool and I like a species that doesn't have a dominant gender.
Looking forward to more Alex! I live in the US, and rather desperately wish I had my own colony of Aeslin mice. They are delightful, and would absolutely make every day better.

3. The Aeslin mice are my favorite cryptids, because they are precocious and reverent.
I live in the US, and bizarrely, though the Aeslin mice obviously have a warm spot in my heart, my favorite cryptid is the cuckoo. I love the badass sociopaths that had a whole town over a barrel (and then she had a mate!) and I love Sarah's strength of character in resisting her evil-er self. And... math. Maybe this is my latent anti-social, nerdy self that comes out, but a species that is like the perfect villain with a predilection for liking math has to have a warm spot in my heart. They add interest.
I have a US address!

And for my favorite cryptid, I shall choose wadjets! Because snakes! GIANT SNAKES! Also, I really loved that their courtship/family building is based around becoming acclimated to venom and the wadjet girl from Half Off Ragnarok was sooooo great.
I live in teh US, Oregon specifically. Home of those competing cryptid species Gigantopithecus macropodia (Bigfoot) and G. sesquac (Sasquatch). The sibling rivalry even beats the Ducks/Oregon State games...
Oh, my, there's so many to choose from... I have to say the Dragon Princesses, because I like the fact that the dragon princesses just don't give a **** about what guys (other than their dragon) think of them....

and I'm in the us
I have a US address.

I love the dragon princesses. Not that I'd really want to meet one (they're too single-minded to be friendly with) but I love the idea of such extreme sexual dimorphism. I also like how the idea of what type of wealth is necessary for their hoards is different from continent to continent.
The Lesser gorgons seem like the closest thing possible to my teenage doodles of gorgon librarians and gorgons reading with Siamese cats on their laps and their snakes tied under bandanas.

I'm in the US, and I'd be thrilled to bits to get a book. (Also a slasher chicks shirt if you ever plod through the huge first wave of orders. I really want to play derby in it and annoy my teammates by being coy about where that team plays.)
Favorite cryptid is chupacabra, specifically because of Verity's dance partner, who put up with much more than should be expected of any dance partner (knocked out and stashed in a closet by a Covenant member? rude!) while staying fabulous.
Thanks for the giveaway! US address.

Aeslin mice *Hail!*
*oops* why- because any creature that loves baked goods and random religious festivals are my kind of critter
I'm in the US and it has to be Church Griffin as yes I would like to torture myself with a pet that can get into as much trouble as an imp from hell. A Church Griffon would fit in so nicely with the imps from hell that are entirely feline but do try to prove the flying isn't only for the birds on a regular basis. Gravity proves them wrong on a regular basis as well but those books looked better on the floor anyway.
