When they finally come to destroy the Earth, they'll have to go through you first...

...I bet they won't be expecting that.

It's the first Inchworm Girl of 2015! I am excited! I am...already kinda tired. Well, damn.

No fixed deadline/being written/unsold:

The Best Thing
"Every Heart a Doorway, Every Word a Prayer"
"Target Practice"
"Waking Up In Vegas"
"My Last Name"
"Fiber"
"Carry Me Home"
"Pixie Season"
"These Antique Fables"
"Coming To You Live"
"Something In the Rain" (formerly "Love is the Silence Before the Shadow")
"vs. Spring Cleaning"
Echo

Again, to clarify some recent confusion: some things, especially novel-length things, may appear more than once, on both the "publication date" and "being written" lists. This is because the "being written" list is an aggregate, which also includes "no fixed deadline" (IE, being written on spec or for the website) and "unsold" (IE, being written because I can). So new books will appear there for a long time before they vanish, since books take a long time to write, but may also have pub dates listed higher up.

Look at that list. It's so shiny!

Oh my you'll be aat connooga! I might have to come down for one day.

That would be lovely!
I just wanted to say thank you for posting these lists; I know you would most likely do them for yourself anyway (and probably do, with calendar reminders and such), but I for one appreciate that you share them with us.

Also I am wondering where 'Still Catch the Tide' is in the process as it has been off the list since last February (IIRC). ('Look a bunny' being a totally fine answer if it's not something you want to/can discuss.)
I can not will not do not ever ever ever discuss something that has vanished from the lists. It's not just a matter of "look a bunny": it's a matter of "once it has finished, I do not discuss where we are in the sale process, unless something has been shelved forever." That's why there's a rider on the Current Projects post saying "please don't ask." It makes me really, really uncomfortable when people do, because there is nothing I can say.
I'm so sorry for making you uncomfortable, truly.

I did check the inchworm girl post (this one) to see if there was anything about verboten questions, but I didn't think to check the current projects post.

No wonder you're tired! I have to admit that I do hope eventually you'll be able to have some short story collections, I'm sure I've missed a few here and there since you publish so many!

Got to catch them all ;-)
ETA to fix your/you're because we care
Unfortunately, single-author short story collections are not common anymore, and there are currently no publishers offering to do one for me.
Yeah, I realized after I posted that it might have sounded like I thought it was under your control....aside from not being common there are rights issues and stuff as well, I imagine. But I can keep my finger's crossed for it happening at some point :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
No Spokane this year? They gave out such yummy treats last year.
If it's not on the schedule, it is not currently on the schedule.
Ahhh! You're going to be the Guest of Honor at Chessiecon! I am super excited about the prospect of meeting you!
Yay!
Yay con-nooga! Looking forward to meeting one of my favorite authors - so glad you are committed ......er this sounded better in my head....
Hee hee hee.
These posts are always ridiculously exciting to me, I have to admit.

I noticed that you're doing back-to-back events in San Diego, my hometown! If you're in town for the duration and would like a local guide, my family and I would be happy to take you out to dinner.
I went home and snuggled my cats, but I genuinely appreciate the offer. :)
