Down, down, down so deep that even the sunlight cannot swim there...

I am pleased as punch to let you all know, if you didn't know already, that pre-orders for Rolling in the Deep are now open. This gorgeous hardcover Mira Grant novella has never appeared anywhere else, and introduces a whole new world of submarine terror. What if there were mermaids? What would they look like?

What would they eat?

The signed and numbered edition which is currently being offered is limited to 1,000 beautiful copies, and will make a fantastic Hogswatch gift. I'm so excited!

Now, to answer a few questions:

Will there be a cheaper edition?

I do not know, for I am not the publisher. Probably, going by the way they usually do things, but it's not my call. Please do not complain about the cost of the hardback. It's a gorgeous book, I understand that not everyone can afford it, and that's part of why it's set in a new world, not a pre-existing one.

Will there be an ebook edition?

The publisher has indicated that there will, but this is 100% of the information I have. Please direct any questions about timing or price to the publisher.

Just in case anyone reads this, I have a number of subterranean books and they're eminently pettable and gorgeous...well worth the price even if it seems a little steep.

Can't wait to read this! ;-)
Thank you, darlin'.
I spent some of my birthday money on this ^_^ Subterranean's books are always lovely, and your work always makes me smile (and occasionally cry, curse, or sleep with the light on). So excited!
This! I did that, too. Hurrah for birthday money!
Yeah, my thank you notes this year were all "Dear {relative}, thank you for the check. I spent some of it on groceries but most of it on books. This should not be a surprise by now. Love, {me}"
I've been pondering getting this book since you announced it, it finally boiled down to a trifecta of reasons.

#01. It's on of your (well Mira's) books, and I've yet to be disappointed.
#02. All the Subterranean press books I've gotten have been quality dead tree books.
And most of all.
#03. KILLER MERMAIDS! With a ship named Atargatis. This makes me gleeful in a way few plot synopses have done.

Glub glub, bring on the fish people :)
Hooray!
Shiny! And scary, but mostly shiny!
Also slimy, thanks to protective mucus.
*Snort* There is now cider all over my tablet, thank you for the giggles! XD
I'm very excited for this!

Like others, I have a few different Subterraneam Press books, and they're just gorgeous!
They really are.

YAY!
Book lust is my favorite disease- and it's epidemic around here.
Incurable.
I always thought they'd eat fish.

Sailors would be at best the occasional treat...
And whales, and giant squid, and...
