Don't look back in anger; look forward, in fear.

Have you ever wanted to know more about the Luidaeg before she changed her name? To see Blind Michael before he turned away from the light he had never been able to see? Have you ever wondered how the old world of Faerie faded into the new world of Men?

There are some answers to be had, if you know where to look.

I am pleased to announce that my short story, "The Fixed Stars," featuring Antigone of Albany in the long, dark days of her youth, is available now in the anthology Shattered Shields, edited by my well-beloved Jennifer Brozek and Bryan Thomas Schmidt. Tales of military fantasy! War, barbarous and bloody!

Glory, glory.

Pick it up; give it a read. And if you're feeling really ambitious, I'm going to be swinging by Borderlands Books tomorrow on my way to the airport, so if you called them and ordered a copy tonight, you could even get it signed.

War is a science.

Antigone was a scientist.

Got it! Read it! I really liked the ending, as well as the brief glimpse of paths-not-taken.
Yay!
The Luideag is really really really high up on my list of favourite characters, so I have ordered the heck out of this and will now wait patiently for it to come across the waters to me.
Hooray!
Thank you, just ordered it from the Book Depository. :D

I needed something to spend my amazon gift card balance on. You have solved my problem :D
Hooray for me!
Since I want to know a lot more about the Luidaeg, this book is now on my wish list; in fact, it's at the top of my wish list.

Never fear from stranger when you alone, because that never know that what you can do with him.
True.
Ooo! *makes plans for a trip into the city*

It's smarter to be lucky than it's lucky to be smart.
Agreed.
Oh my! This sounds like a MUST READ!! Thank you for sharing that story with us!
Very welcome!
More Luidaeg?!

*faints from happiness*

Okay, now that I've come to, I will go order the book immediately.
Hooray!
Ordered for myself, and then going to buy a copy of Shattered Shields and Sparrow Hill Road for my boyfriend's birthday gift.
Splendid!
.... well, I know what I'm going to be doing shortly... other than raiding my local B&N for Big Hero 6 Pop figures, I'll be hunting down this anthology so that I can read this. XD
Hooray!
More Luidaeg?! Yes please~

*goes off to buy*

Damn you, I really don't need more books...

until I manage more shelf space.

(That first part makes no sense on its own, does it.)

Oh well, sacrifices must be made, and what's a few stubbed toes to new stories?
That's the approach I always take.
Oh, I'm so excited! I love any backstory to do with Toby's world. :)
Glee.
Okay, I read it. Dumb question, but what's a merlin? Someone who's fractionally part fae but too little to be a changeling? I don't recall at the moment.
Yup.

I do not recommend reading this story before an algebra class, the feelings were too much T.T, and to make things worse I had an epiphany in the middle of the class making me gasp out loud when I understood the names!!! IT WAS GREAT!!!!
Aw.
