* My mother had a trip where she stayed in four different places, then she helped me move two weeks later. She told me that the greatest joy when she got home was that when she woke up in the middle of the night, she knew what room she was in.
I can imagine. I think I've had days like that as well. I was bridesmaiding last weekend, and spent four nights in four different places/cities: home, the hotel near the airport*, my mother's house (as she lived in the same town as the brides), and then the hotel near the airport I was leaving from/the city the reception was being held in. Knowing that I'll be in the same bed at least until Thanksgiving and maybe until Christmas break is nice.
* I live less than a half hour's drive from the nearest airport, but it is over some steep hills that cut through a national forest, and my flight was at 6 AM, and I just moved there and have been driving for less than a year. I decided paying for a Motel 6 was worth some peace of mind.
