Saturday morning. Do not want.

Step one: Wake up. This is the least pleasing step. I was having a very pleasant dream about attending a convention in England with my agent and most of my crew of rotating musicians. Vixy and I got to raid a Tesco's. It was nice. Waking up was so not on the agenda.

Step two: Lilly realizes that I have woken up. On weekends, I tend to stay in bed long enough for Lilly to come over and spend some time on my chest, getting heavy-duty affection directed her way. This is because I foolishly believe that if I adore her enough before I start trying to do things, she might leave me alone to do them.

Step three: Check email. Hello, email. Yes, there certainly is a lot of you, and no, none of you really appears to matter. That's always a pleasant discovery on a Saturday morning, as the last thing I want is an emergency or for an unexpected deadline to pop up and wave to me.

Step four: Stare blankly at The Brightest Fell for about three minutes. After that, decide that I am not yet in the necessary head-space to struggle with navigating those particular waters, and close the file again. (Toby Daye, book five. Because finishing four of them in a year just wasn't enough.)

Step five: Copy-edit two chapters of the manuscript I'm currently copy-editing for a friend of mine. It's on today's to-do, even: 'edit chapters 10 and 11.' I am, at this point, sufficiently engrossed by the story that I wouldn't be surprised if that turned into 'and 12 and 13 and just keep going already,' but since I also have to finish the next Velveteen vs. today, it won't go on forever.

...and now, pants, and the ceremonial Saturday morning stroll to the 7-11, hence to obtain a soda whose volume is slightly more than the volume of my skull. Because that will make me feel better.

How's your Saturday?

I am in my nightgown, I have consumed a pleasing breakfast of potstickers and chocolate and water, I feel happily productive because I am working on Things that are Not Mine, and then soon I will braid my hair, take a shower, find clothing, and attempt to sell myself (rather, my time and energy) to a high bidder in the greater San Francisco area, in between sorting stuff to shove into boxes to facilitate going to the greater San Francisco area so I can sell myself.
Rock and roll, and good luck with the sale!

So far, so good. I got to play World of Warcraft for a while (then Scott's work pulled him away so we logged out), there are cute lolcats up, and our cat Ray has only attacked my skirt twice.... Sigh. ;)
I'll see you skirt attacks and raise you pinning me to the chair for an hour and a half because Mommies Shouldn't Move.
akawil is home. This makes Saturday better for me.
Hooray!
I have fled the house and returned, I filled my gas tank for 20 bucks, I have 2 weeks worth of House to watch, and I am currently nursing a venti skinny vanilla latte. My Saturday is \o/
Your Saturday = made of win. So mote it be.
I got to sleep in until 10:30, showered, and got dressed for my shift at 2 this afternoon. Now I get to make food for my husband, consume it voraciously, and go make little podlings smile big for their pictures.

I look forward to an actual day off? :D
I hope you get one reasonably soon!
D forgot his cell phone and we're out of cat food.
Whoops.
The dogs let me sleep late (almost noon, after having worked second shift last night to cover for a vacationing manager), and I woke up pinned to the bed by all five cats, sleeping and purring. I was warm, and immobilized, and it took another half-hour to extricate myself from the purring sleepy things.

Then I made waffles, and shared them with my niece, and now I'm playing with the dogs and catching up on email and LJ. Life is good. :-)
Life is definitely good. You win.
I woke up at 9:30 with a snuggling snoozing cat beside me. That was terrific. Then it was breakfast and laundry. Now I just "am".
Existence is an important part of the day, so win.

At OryCon, checking in from the Internet terminals in Hospitality.

Premiered "The Ellipse" (originally posted in comments over on cadhla to good response at open filking last night. Hope to see whether one of the other new songs breaks vixy (not permanently, of course) at open filking tonight; also finished yet one further new lyric at around two AM last night (partially set to Vixy's "Emerald Green", but in no wise a parody). Stars Fall Home is at the Friends of Filk table in the dealers' room, and has been duly pimped.

The Vixy & Tony concert begins in about 45 minutes, and I want to catch most of that (will likely have to duck out of the end because I have a 3pm small-group session.
Sounds like you're having a fabulous time!
Whence, my dear, not hence. ;)
Wench.
If you do attend a convention in England, I hope you let us know: I'm English and would like to attend. :)
My last UK convention was in 2007, so I'm definitely ready for another one! I make sure to announce everywhere I'm going to be, 'cause it'd suck if I showed up and nobody was there to hang out with.

Oddly enough, my waking-up featured Me-That-May-Or-May-Not-Have-Been-Still-Dreaming making a list of all the people I had to tell that "Stars Fall Home" is the most awesome CD ever and you need to get it too," and somehow you were on the list of people to tell; it did not occur to me until much later that as the person who made it, you already knew about it.

And, yeah, I've been meaning to mention that I bought it the week before last and it is awesomeness to the Xth power, where X is not quite identified but definitely in the double digits. It might be that your songs are the Avogadro's number of awesomeness.

That all said, my Saturday has been rather too cold and too lacking in other people's fanfiction, my computer is still not playing nice with the latest Firefox update, I'm far behind on writing deadlines and now have art deadlines thrown into the mix, and I forgot to rescue any of my Chinese takeout from my dad before he took it to work with him. On the upside, I have warm fuzzy socks and my month-long attempt to be actually prolific at writing has at least met with partial success.
Oh, yay! I'm so glad you got it, and so glad you enjoy it! I adore that CD, I'm still really proud of it, and it makes me incredibly happy when people enjoy it. (Remember, it makes an awesome Christmas gift, and that gets it out my back room, which makes Lilly stop shoving it on top of my head while I'm trying to watch television. She managed to overturn an entire box the other day. I was proud. Also concussed.)

Some of the same songs are on Pretty Little Dead Girl. Most people actually like the live version of 'Pretty Little Dead Girl' better (it has a lot of urgency, and the original third Rosette), but I passionately adore the studio version of 'This Is My Town.'

Getting better. I drove firestrike home last night and then neither of us slept well. He got up at 7am to help the parentals move house and I had to be at work at 330pm.
However there was KFC and The Blind Swordsman-Zatoichi (on DVD) so the day is improving.
Rock and roll!
