Plan your next trip with LAFFERTY AIR!

Nothing says "big American holiday" like planning a trip to a city you've never seen before, right? And what better way to start your trip planning than with a pair of travel guides showing two famous American cities from a...different...point of view?

I'm giving away two signed Mur Lafferty books: The Shambling Guide to New York City and Ghost Train to New Orleans. These fun, fascinating, unique urban fantasies follow the adventures of a travel guide publishing house for, well, monsters.

Yes.

One part urban fantasy awesome, one part Travel Channel enthralling, and all Mur Lafferty snark, these books make me happy. And now they can make you happy! (Although they could also make you happy if you bought them, so remember, all books are available through other means.) To enter...

1. Leave a comment on this post.
2. Name a city you've always wanted to see.
3. Identify your country of origin.

That's it! The winner will be chosen from qualifying entries via RNG on Thursday, July 10th, so you have a week.

Game on!

I've always wanted to go to Philadelphia for the Mutter Museum. ^_^
US, but happy to pay postage.
I want to see Edō. >_> Without a time machine, I'd love to see Venice. (I'd love to see Venice with a time machine too).

I'm from, and in, the US.
I would love to try this out!

I always wanted to see Cardiff, in Wales.

And I'm in the USA!
1. check
2. Dublin! If I'm thinking domestically New Orleans
3. US
I've always wanted to go to Las Vegas. (Cirque shows and roller coasters, oh my.)

Canadian, will pay postage if needed.
Hmm...I'm gonna go with San Francisco. (I'm in Canada.)
My recruiter told me that's where I'd go after basic training (cue yacht pics here). After basic training at sunny Lackland AFB, Texas, I got on a bus. It drove across base to a ramshackle set of condemned dorms on the other side of base, and the driver made me get off. I spent the next year there. 30 years later, I've been to several countries, but still have never been to Monterey. Poor little me... :-)

I am currently living back in Texas, which, last time I looked, was still part of the continental U.S.
Paris. I've been to the airport, but never the city.
I'm in the US.
I think I would have to go with Pompeii, although Rome or Athens seem like they would be cool as well. (From the US)
City I've always wanted to see is Seattle.

I'm a California/USA kinda gal.

Hugs!
I've always wanted to see Berlin, I think. My father went there for work when I was a child.

I am, alas, in the US and passportless.
I've never been to Seattle! My country of origin is the US.
I'm a long time fan of Mur's (she was even on my old podcast once, long ago), so winning this would be awesome. Granted, I already have a signed book of hers (the Lulu.com print of Playing For Keeps), but...

Anyway, a city I've always wanted to see? Washington D.C. For realsies, not like in 2009. See, I had to fly into Ronald Reagen airport to get to a con in Baltimore because Frontier airlines (which I fly because my Dad works for them so I get a discount) doesn't fly into Baltimore's airport. My flight landed early enough that I could've strolled to the train station to catch my train to Baltimore, so I could've appreciated some of the sights along the way. I get to baggage claim, one of my two bags comes out, and then the damn conveyor shuts off for 30 freaking minutes! Everyone on that flight who hadn't gotten any or only some of their bags had to wait, and I had to run like hell (and I was not in the best of shape in 2009) to catch my train so I didn't get to really see anything due to my blind panic.

So yeah, US is country of origin for purposes of this entry.
Perth Amboy, New Jersey. It's where my Dad was born. I grew up in the city my Mom was born, so that's already taken care of at least.

US is country of origin, for purposes of this contest.
Hmm. Portland, OR. I'm from the U. S. of A.
Well I've always wanted to visit Rivendell... I'll settle for (the false) Hobbiton, to see the particular superposition of a fictional and real town (by opposition to the superposition of fantasized versus real town).
And I'm from France.

It's silly but I've always wanted to go to San Francisco which probably sounds silly to those of you who live there but I am from Alabama and San Francisco seems as different as you get from home.
Glasgow

USA
I would love to visit Berlin.

I live in the USA
1. I am a big fan of Mur Lafferty
2. London
3. U.S.A.
Paris! Or Barcelona. I'm from the USA.
I've always wanted to see New Orleans, and am from the U.S.
Definitely Seattle! Cool culture, coffee shops, music, houseboats, tons of dog lovers, and beautiful. What's not to love? I'm from the U.S.A., currently living in Tennessee.
City I've always wanted to see: The Emerald City (but that's probably not a fair answer) Choosing hard. I'm gonna go with Kyoto, but my answer might well change to Dublin or Persepolis next week.

Country of Origin: USA.
I want to visit San Francisco. I've been there once, but it was just a brief jaunt through Haight-Ashbury on the tail end of a business trip. I'd really like to dedicate a week to exploring the whole city. I'm in the US.
