Plan your next trip with LAFFERTY AIR!

Nothing says "big American holiday" like planning a trip to a city you've never seen before, right? And what better way to start your trip planning than with a pair of travel guides showing two famous American cities from a...different...point of view?

I'm giving away two signed Mur Lafferty books: The Shambling Guide to New York City and Ghost Train to New Orleans. These fun, fascinating, unique urban fantasies follow the adventures of a travel guide publishing house for, well, monsters.

Yes.

One part urban fantasy awesome, one part Travel Channel enthralling, and all Mur Lafferty snark, these books make me happy. And now they can make you happy! (Although they could also make you happy if you bought them, so remember, all books are available through other means.) To enter...

1. Leave a comment on this post.
2. Name a city you've always wanted to see.
3. Identify your country of origin.

That's it! The winner will be chosen from qualifying entries via RNG on Thursday, July 10th, so you have a week.

Game on!

Definitely New Orleans, if we're sticking to cities that we have never actually seen. (United States, me!)
ooo yay! are we allowed fictional and historical cities? cause Babylon. if not, then Petra (Jordan) or New Orleans (US).
I am British and happy to pay postage.
1. Here it is! :-D
2. New York!
3. USA!
I've always wanted to visit New Orleans. I'm a USAnian, but I am willing to pay postage anyway.
Dublin.

USA.
I've always wanted to see London. I'm from the United States. Thank you for doing this.
Hmmm I'd have to say Dublin, I've never traveled out of the USA, but that's always been one of my dream locations...
I've always wanted to see Toronto and I hail from the states. Thanks for the giveaway!
I want to see Capetown. I've heard it's the most beautiful city. (Kim hails from the US. New York, to be exact, which makes me very curious about this shambling guide)

City I've always wanted to see: Petra. First read about it in RICHARD HALLIBURTON'S BOOK OF MARVELS, and fell in love with the idea of the "rose-red city, half as old as Time."
Country of origin: USA.
The city I've always wanted to visit, but have not yet been, is Marseille. (My husband is going to be very irked with me for not picking Brussels...but beer does not rule my life!) Who can resist beaches and the home of bouillabaisse? (I'm in the United States.)
the city I have most desired is Edinburgh , I have heard most are such straight shooters for directions , my mother is half English , so i'm from England I think .....
Yes, please. New York City. US.
Despite if (perhaps because of) a record or international travel, I've never been to Charleston, SC. And I want to. Badly. From a native Midwesterner, USA.
1. This is a comment.
2. I have not yet seen Portlant (OR) (I have seen Portland, ME)
3. I am a resident of the US
Portland, I lust after a trip to Powell's. (USA)
Fantastic!
City I always wanted to see: Honolulu
Country of origin: Sweden
Awesome giveaway! I have always wanted to go to San Francisco! My country of origin is USA!
I've always wanted to visit San Francisco! I'm in Scotland and happy to pay postage.
I'd want to go to San Fransisco or LA. I've never been to California at all. I live in the US.
I've always wanted to see and spend a few weeks or months in Mexico City. I'm from/in the USA. :-)
A city I've always wanted to see: New Orleans is definitely up there. London is another.
Country of origin: USA.

I wouldn't mind seeing New Orleans. Or Honolulu, though I admit that's more for the 'now that I've landed, I'm hitting the beach'. I'm limiting myself to USA cities, because I need something to limit it, or it would be too long.

I don't really think in terms of cities. Most of my vacations are to visit people. (Or 'I'm in town for a conference, so I'll take an afternoon or evening off to see the town', but an afternoon of being a tourist while working doesn't really count as a real vacation.)

(USA here.)
I want to visit Santa Fe, New Mexico. I want to visit the Georgia O'Keeffe museum there (unfortunately, no relation). I'm in the US, Oregon to be specific.
