It's almost time for Boskone! Because Boston is best in...February...when the snow is...um. Okay, I may have made a small tactical error, except no, because Boskone! So many awesome people will be there, and I will be there too!

But what will I be doing? Well...

Friday.

Bring Back My Favorite TV Show!, 5:00 PM.
Just A Minute, 7:00 PM.
Boskone Meet the Guests & Art Show Reception, 9:00 PM.

Because Friday is the day we re-define what it means to see me talk for three hours solid. But wait, there's more...

Saturday.

Killer Plagues, 11:00 AM.
Interview With Guest of Honor Seanan McGuire, 1:00 PM.

I'm being interviewed by Elizabeth Bear! That's how you know it's going to be a good interview: the interviewer knows me well, and has no qualms about asking me horrible questions.

Sunday.

A Literary Wonderland, 11:00 AM.
Autographing with Seanan McGuire & Melinda Snodgrass, 12:00 PM.
Kaffeeklatsche with Seanan McGuire, 1:00 PM.

This is going to be the most low-key kaffeeklatsche ever, and I hope to see you there.

She still is! Albeit a lot less of a lump and a lot more of a nearly running around toddler. Who somehow, despite having gotten all her shots, has failed to experience the promised developmental regressions. I think they gave us the wrong vaccines.

I went to Boskone the first year after I moved out to California. It was February, and it was...cold. Ha, I thought. I'm used to cold. When I got out of the T stop and into the air, I had a moment where it was so cold I forgot how to breathe. Fortunately, I remembered, but I stayed inside the rest of the con.

I'm very sorry I'll be missing Bear interviewing you.

I realllllllllly hope video is taken of this panel, for those of us not fortunate enough to attend to enjoy after the fact. (Two of my favorite internet people, together off the internet, with possible horribleness!)

This is random but I'm kind of amused the world "Kaffeeklatsch" is apparently used in the English language :D Surprise!German words, woohoo.

English doesn't borrow words. It chases other languages into dark alleys, where it beats them unconscious and rifles their pockets for stray vocabulary.

Sadly I won't make it to Boskone this year, but I have forwarded this to my mom to make sure she knows when all your events are! I was ever so pleased when she texted me before Christmas to say that she was devouring the Toby books (I'd been telling her for over a year that she would like them).

No, no, no sad faces! Because my mom went to your events and loved it, and then for my birthday I got "Letters to the Pumpkin King" in a fancy slipcase. I don't actually remember if I even told her I wanted it, I just sent a long email with "here's where Seanan is going to be go see her she's awesome her books are awesome have you read them all yet let me tell you more about them!"
