On the twelfth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a unique Seanan McGuire birthday swag pack, valued at we have no idea, half this stuff was never available for sale.

So Disneyland was a little more exhausting than anticipated, and the eleventh and twelfth days of Hogswatch got pushed back a bit. I'm sorry about that. This is the posting for the eleventh of the Twelve Days of Hogswatch. Each giveaway has different rules, and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on January 9th, because I am bad at going to the post office.

The final giveaway is for a birthday swag pack, assembled by yours truly. It will contain:

* A copy of the art bookmark I designed several years ago for Borderlands. These bookmarks have been gone for years, and have clownfish mermaids all over them. Super cute, and a rare example of my working in full color.
* A Slasher Chicks T-shirt. You get to pick the size, although sizes are limited (it was a very short run), so I can't promise I'll have the one you want. But hey, it would be a rockin' present for somebody else.
* A copy of your choice of Wicked Girls or Stars Fall Home, signed.
* One of the unique, never-for-sale "I'm with the band" passes we make for the Traveling Circus. I don't have passes from all events, but I can check to see if I have a specific title (Seanan books only).

This is a random number drawing with a twist. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate a willingness to pay postage.
3. Explain to me why YOU deserve this birthday gift.

Please remember that all giveaway rules are non-negotiable. Failure to follow the rules of a giveaway will mean that you cannot win, even if the RNG picks you. I will be choosing three finalists, and then letting their arguments sway me to a final winner.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Wednesday, January 8th. I know that's super-tight, but I need to do the mailing.

Game on!

I.. I'm hesitant to post the whole set of sob stories here, but this one would really make my extended period of time. I've had a rough past year with depression. Also, I am extremely phobic of medical and had to go into the hospital on Christmas eve and have emergency surgery. Spent 5 days there, and am still figuring out how to pay for that and the time I need off work while I recover enough to be allowed to return to work. I am currently dealing with daily woundcare, which also triggers my anxiety issues. This may well need to go on for another couple of months, with a 50 percent possibility that I will need more surgery.

I will not say that I'm the most needy or deserving person, but recieving this would *really* make a difference in my life right now.
I deserve this birthday gift because I've been good in general, have been a loyal reader, have only entered giveaways for items I don't already own, and because if I ever run a TFOS game again, I will let you play your witch - although she won't be able to have a luggage. I will, however, allow for a sapient pearwood lunchbox.
Hello, I'm in the UK and will pay postage.

I deserve this gift because I've been a fan of yours since 2005, and I love love LOVE your books and tell everyone who likes YA/fantasy to read them.

Also I collect My Little Ponies.

Also I'm ill.
International, Will cover postage, and, well - it's my birthday! :D
I deserve this gift because it will be even cooler than what I have to give Seanan the next time I see her. (Which, not surprisingly, involves the color orange.) And I will tell everyone as much if I win! :-) I am in the USA.
I'm in the UK and will pay postage. I deserve this birthday gift because I will give some of it to pola_bear, who used pages of one of your books for paper roses at her wedding, and because I helped make those paper roses even though I am the least crafty person alive, and because ''I am trying to become an English teacher so I can turn teenagers onto fabulous books like yours and more generally the joy of reading.

Also I'm going to sort a zombie walk in London soon.

because if you take 'Hogswatch' without the hogs, then the remaining 'watch' can be further deciphered into tch because the negligens hogs 'wa'-ed but it wasn't heard. thus, the tch was said by a bystander shushing them despite their disregard for sound. the tch wasn't fully heard because the 't' is silent leaving only the 'ch'. when i see ch all i think of is chop-choo. this chop-choo train always comes back. it picks up the 'wa'-ing hogs first. it found that multiple wa's were heard as their voices echoed throughout. this leaves 'Washogs' caught by the (ch)oo choo train. and the hogs live ever so happy in the train feeding on hobos that Passerby.

Okay... now that is out of the way... I'm US (Texas) by the way.

Hmmm... why I deserve this special, special gift? Well, today is one of my best friend's birthday, and anything that didn't fit me (or that she really loved) would make a killer belated birthday gift. Another thing- I could really, really use some silver lining right now. My 5 year old not only is flunking Kindergarten, but also got recommended to be admitted into a mental hospital. A 5 year old! It was even suggested I call 911 the next time he has an 'episode'. As much as I LOVED Tansy, I really wasn't expecting to have a male, 5 year old version of her. Well, maybe not quite so 'stabby' and violent... but seriously, a little good news would go a LONG way right now.
I deserve this because I've just rescued the strangely-afraid-of-heights kitty from the patio roof *again*, only this time at 5am, before I was caffeinated.
(Yes, he truly seems afraid of heights - he won't jump down from anything higher than a chair seat. And every once in a while he'll get up there and miaow piteously until rescued - though even that takes coaxing. I even put "steps" in place that the other cats scamper up & down with abandon, but it may as well be a medieval torture device, for the way he avoids it. *sigh*)

I deserve this birthday present because my own birthday is next month, and my company changed our holiday schedule so I will no longer serendipitously have it off.

Also, because I'm an entitled American, but at least I feel conflicted about it.

And also, because my first day back at work after the holidays, I brought in Kahlua brownies to share with coworkers. (And missed having some leftover for me.)
(In the US)
I deserve this gift because my train home was cancelled, and instead I am flying straight from winter break to a convention without all my convention stuff. It will be fine, but argh
more stuff!
Obviously, still not international. ;)

I deserve the gift because I would ROCK that shirt. :)
I deserve to win because I am a wonderful human being full of magic. Also, because my nine year old is going to kill me if I don't give her copy of Wicked Girls back to her soon.
I deserve this birthday present because with Wicked Girl inspiration I changed my world and me for the better. I left my home state of 36 years, moved across the country from friends and family, left a successful job, and took a chance on love. I finally found a place where I can be me and belong. I already got an amazing prize of my happiness, but I want Seanan McGuire goodies to commemorate it because she taught me about Wicked Girls!

I deserve this fabulous thing because, in contrast to my last year's birthday (spent all alone feeling sorry for myself), I am doing ALL THE THINGS! Maybe a movie Friday night, gaming Saturday day, gaming elsewhere Saturday night, lunch with my slasher pals Sunday morning, dinner with one of my best girls, the Banjo Apocalypse Crinoline Troubadours Sunday night, and Monday off work so that I can fall down exhausted.

I am in Canada and would pay ALL THE POSTAGE! <3
I'm in the US, but willing to pay postage anyway.

I don't know if I deserve this gift more than anyone else who's commented here. But I would really like this gift. It's been a stressful and rather rather crappy past couple of months, but I won't really depress you with that. Suffice to say, it would cheer me immensely, and I'd get to share the awesomeness of your art and music with my housemate (whom I gleefully converted into a McGuire/Grant fan).
Aw, I'm super sad I missed this one, as something mailed on the 9th would probably show up here ON my birthday, thereby making it a super awesome birthday gift.

But aside from 'amazing timing', I'm not sure why I would deserve it, so it's probably for the best.
Did I miss the "this is who won" post? 'Cuz I haven't seen it yet.
