On the twelfth day of Hogswatch, your Seanan gave away...

...a unique Seanan McGuire birthday swag pack, valued at we have no idea, half this stuff was never available for sale.

So Disneyland was a little more exhausting than anticipated, and the eleventh and twelfth days of Hogswatch got pushed back a bit. I'm sorry about that. This is the posting for the eleventh of the Twelve Days of Hogswatch. Each giveaway has different rules, and a different deadline, although all prizes will be mailed on January 9th, because I am bad at going to the post office.

The final giveaway is for a birthday swag pack, assembled by yours truly. It will contain:

* A copy of the art bookmark I designed several years ago for Borderlands. These bookmarks have been gone for years, and have clownfish mermaids all over them. Super cute, and a rare example of my working in full color.
* A Slasher Chicks T-shirt. You get to pick the size, although sizes are limited (it was a very short run), so I can't promise I'll have the one you want. But hey, it would be a rockin' present for somebody else.
* A copy of your choice of Wicked Girls or Stars Fall Home, signed.
* One of the unique, never-for-sale "I'm with the band" passes we make for the Traveling Circus. I don't have passes from all events, but I can check to see if I have a specific title (Seanan books only).

This is a random number drawing with a twist. So...

1. To enter, comment on this post.
2. If you are international, indicate a willingness to pay postage.
3. Explain to me why YOU deserve this birthday gift.

Please remember that all giveaway rules are non-negotiable. Failure to follow the rules of a giveaway will mean that you cannot win, even if the RNG picks you. I will be choosing three finalists, and then letting their arguments sway me to a final winner.

I will choose the winner at 1PM PST on Wednesday, January 8th. I know that's super-tight, but I need to do the mailing.

Game on!

I'm international (Aus) willing to pay postage and I deserve this birthday gift because I've been having a tough time with my depression lately and this would cheer me up :)
I'm in Canada and will pay postage. And although deserve is a horrible word (it's too close to entitlement), I would appreciate this birthday swag pack because Wicked Girls reminds me of my grandmother who passed on my birthday last year. This is not a sympathy plight; she would have loved you music.

Well, on the 8th it will be my Birthday. And I've got a cold.

And I think post-apocalyptic warrior women should ride giant wombats.
I'm US (assuming Alaska counts) and I deserve this because my birthday is in summer, and I never got to be a part of joint celebrations in school; because I have two cats and this might convince them that I deserve some respect; because on bad days I have the self esteem of a dead sloth; and because I think you're really cool, and I promise to bake you cookies if I ever get a chance to meet you. (Or cupcakes. Or pie, except I can't do homemade crust because my kitchen lacks decent cupboard space for rolling out crust.)
Ooooo! Ah!!

But I wants the precioussss. I'm not sure I deserve the precious, tho. On the one hand, someone else may deserve it more - on the other hand ... I did spend a couple months doing wound care for my beloved ... which gave me leet open wound care skillz. [His appointment yesterday says he has finished healing. Scar will be there - but he got kudos for healing up in 2 months something that takes on average** 3 months.]

[** 'on average' in medical speak apparently means we followed wound care directions to the letter for the entire after-operation time period - and that most post-op surgical patients do -not- take care of themselves correctly. We had several wound care nurses express surprise that I could follow directions to the letter - and that he 'put up with it'. The mind boggles.]
I probably don't deserve it, but I absolutely love everything you write! And I'm in the US.
I am in the US. I don't really have any good reason why I deserve these goodies anymore than anyone else, but I have been coveting the "I'm with the band" passes for awhile so I figured I should enter.

Oh, please, mememe!

I'm not sure I deserve it, but oh I want it. Christmas was leaner than usual for us this year, with my stepdad recovering from hip-replacement surgery and one of our horses being ill and my brother having purchased his first house!, though every present I received is treasured, used, and appreciated. As would this gift, if I were to get it! Also I rarely win any sort of thing like this, and I could squee quite loudly over it! So perhaps it's a weak argument for why I deserve it, but I'd be so incredibly happy to get it :D

I'm in the US :)

2. I'm in the US.
3. I share your birthday! also, I've been unemployed for 10+months and haven't been able to buy any books and it makes me sad.
In the US and and I think I deserve it because my kitty overlord has demanded I bring him an offering.
Hello! US resident here.

I deserve this birthday gift because I rock, and I'm in pain. This would do a lot to brighten my moods as I deal with chronic pain issues this time around. Also, I would love love love Stars Fall Home--I only have your Wicked Girls CD, and I want to experience more of your lovely music.
I am in the US.

I deserve this, because my birthday was last Friday. While I had a lovely day full of carbs and watching "The Princess Bride" and "Pitch Perfect" with my kids, I got zero gifts. Not even a card from my usually Hallmark-obsessed family. So this would be the best belated birthday present for a fellow Capricorn.
1. Comment!
2. from the US
3. Because if I get it my squees of excitement would be loud enough to pierce through dimensional barriers and be heard in all of your fictional universes/multiverses. Velveteen might have sharp words for me. ALL THE SQUEE.

I am entering, because why not...

I, um...deserve to win because...I'm adorable and I hardly ever win things? Because I'm your favorite Erin? Because I will TOTALLY COSPLAY VELVETEEN FOR YOU SOMEDAY? :D
I deserve this post because I didn't get to join the rest of my DMBs at Disney and that makes me sadface. Plus it's been hella hard holiday.
I'm in New Zealand, and I will happily pay postage.

I deserve this gift because I've been a very good wicked girl this year. All eight days of it ;)

deserving just because my laptop keyboard is dead dead dead and I have to enter text one character at a time via Character Map? (and am already having a rough year in other ways (mostly medical) *sigh*)
Not in the US, but have a US postal address.

If I win, I will be giving this to a dear friend whose birthday it is later this month. She deserves it for her generosity to everyone around her. I'm a better person for knowing her, and I think everyone else would be, too.
I'm in the US and I deserve it because I'd totally wear the Slasher Chicks t-shirt in public.
(in the US)
I don't know if I deserve this more than any other commenter in this post - though many of them deserve big hugs; it's a hard time of year for many of us, it seems - but I certainly want it, as it would make life a little brighter in this dark bitter winter of our discontent and frozen pipes.
And I think we're all grateful, winners or not, to you for doing these giveaways. Thank you, Seanan.
I feel I deserve this because if I'd had the chance, I'd have delivered DDP to your doorstep for your birthday....
