We're finally taking this show on the road! Seanan has a UK publisher!

I am ecstatic to finally be able to announce that I—as in "me writing under my own name," not Mira, who has a different publishing setup than Seanan does—have acquired a UK publisher! Both the October Daye and the InCryptid books will be coming out from Constable & Robinson, under their Corsair imprint. I AM BEING PUBLISHED BY AN IMPRINT THAT IS ALSO AN X-MEN REFERENCE.

My life is complete.

My page on the Constable & Robinson site is right over here, and will eventually have neat things like book covers (no idea yet what the books are going to look like in the UK market IT'S AN EXCITING MYSTERY). There's also an awesome pre-order page for the UK edition of Discount Armageddon, which will be coming out in April of 2014.

The deal includes all the current books in both series, which means a) non-imported editions for my UK readers, and b) easily available ebooks. Such excitement! Such delight!

I am really over the moon about this, and I'm so happy to be joining the Constable & Robinson/Corsair family of authors. UK publisher!

Bliss.

Hey, if you have a UK publisher, does that mean that other countries in the Commonwealth can get your stuff? Because if that's true, then I just might be able to find your books in bookshops here in NZ! And wouldn't THAT be awesomesauce? \o/
Scorpio Books in CH carries Seanan (and Miras) books on the shelves FYI
The ANZ market is separate from the UK one. There is a chance that the fact the UK has picked up Seanan's books will mean that an Australian/New Zealand publisher will pick them up (sometimes there are distribution deals with imprints, or sometimes they will take success in one market as a reason to buy it into another), but it's not an automatic thing.

On the other hand, most bookstores can order in books direct from the US, and some can order direct from the UK. And if there is a demand for a particular author, sometimes stores will start importing copies for the shelf as well. Which is how I got Seanan's books onto the shelves in the bookstore where I used to work (in Australia), and bullied my customer base into reading them.

TL;DR UK contract makes finding Seanan on the shelf in NZ more likely, but is by no means a guarantee.
I believe so!
